七、will/would

1.表示意愿

（1）will 表示現(xiàn)在的意愿。

I will pay you at the rate you ask.我愿意照你要求的價(jià)錢付款。

Go where you will.你愿到哪里就到哪里。

（2）would表示過(guò)去的意愿。

I would go there with you.我愿同你一起去那兒。

He wouldn’t help me yesterday.他昨天不愿幫助我。

She asked if I would go with them.她問(wèn)我是否愿同他們一起去。

2.用于第二人稱疑問(wèn)句中，表示征求意見(jiàn)或提出請(qǐng)求

Won’t you take off your coat？ 你要不要把大衣脫掉？

Will/Would you please post the letter for me？ 請(qǐng)幫我寄了這封信好嗎？

3.與like，love，hate，prefer，glad，happy等詞連用，表示謙遜或委婉的請(qǐng)求建議

I would like to make a suggestion.我想提一個(gè)建議。

I’d love to have a room of my own.我想有一個(gè)自己的房間。

I’d hate to disturb him if he’s busy.如果他忙，我就不想打擾他了。

I’d prefer to go by bike.我想騎自行車去。

【提示】 第一人稱可將would換成should。

4.表示習(xí)慣和傾向性

（1）will表示現(xiàn)在的習(xí)慣。

Oil will float on water.油總是浮在水上。

He will always complain if he gets the opportunity.他一有機(jī)會(huì)總要抱怨。

（2）would表示過(guò)去的習(xí)慣。

When we were students we would often stay up all night.我們當(dāng)學(xué)生時(shí)，經(jīng)常通宵不睡。

When he was a child，he would often go skiing.他小時(shí)候經(jīng)常去滑雪。

5.would用于虛擬語(yǔ)氣

It would be better if I saw her personally.我可能親自去看她，那樣更好些。

She would be stupid if she didn’t accept.她不接受那才笨呢。

6.will和would構(gòu)成的句式

would rather do sth.寧愿做某事

would rather do sth.than do sth.寧可做某事而不愿

would do sth.rather than do sth.寧可做某事而不愿

would rather have done sth.寧愿做某事（表示過(guò)去）

would like sth.想要做某事

would like to do sth.想要做某事

would like sb.to do sth.想要某人做某事

（1）Would you please ...？ 意為“請(qǐng)……好嗎？”

Would you please not smoke？ 請(qǐng)不要吸煙，好嗎？

Would you please not worry？ 請(qǐng)不要著急，好嗎？

（2）Would/Do you mind ...？ Would/Do you mind if ...？ 意為“做……你介意嗎？”

Would you mind my smoking？ 我抽根煙你介意嗎？

Do you mind if I open the window？ 我可以把窗戶打開嗎？

Do you mind me/my opening the window？

— Would you mind me（my）opening that door？ 打開那扇窗戶你介意嗎？

— I’m sorry，but it’s not allowed.不好意思，不允許。

— Would you mind my standing here？ 你介意我站在這兒?jiǎn)幔?/p>

— No，not at all.不，一點(diǎn)兒也不。

（3）if you will，意為“如果你愿意……的話”

If you will allow me，I will see you home.如果你同意，我可以送你回家。

If you won’t come，I’ll go myself.如果你不愿意去，那我就自己去。

I’ll pay for the hotel，if you will for the food.如果你愿付伙食錢，我就來(lái)付旅館錢。
