同位語(yǔ)從句與定于從句從形式上來看很相似,大多都是由that來引導(dǎo),都跟在名詞或代詞后。但兩者在用法和功能上還是有很多區(qū)別的。
和先行詞的關(guān)系不同。對(duì)于同位語(yǔ)從句來說,同位語(yǔ)從句說明先行詞的具體內(nèi)容,二者是同位關(guān)系。而定語(yǔ)從句修飾限定先行詞,二者是修飾關(guān)系。
例如:The news that he told me is that Tom would go abroad next year.這個(gè)句子中第一個(gè)that引導(dǎo)的從句是定語(yǔ)從句,that在從句中作賓語(yǔ)。
The news that Tom would go abroad is told by him.而這個(gè)同位語(yǔ)從句中,that在句子中不作任何成分。
