think about 和 think of 表示“考慮”、“對(duì)……有某種看法”時(shí)，可以互換。

如：

They are thinking about / of buying a new computer .

注意：當(dāng) think of 表示以下意義的時(shí)候，一般不可和 think about 互換：

( 1 )想要;打算。如：

Mary ， are you thinking of marrying Jack ?

( 2 )想出;想到。如：

I can't think of his name at the moment .

( 3 )關(guān)心，想著。如：

Lei Feng was always thinking of others but never thinking of himself .

think about 表示“回想過(guò)去的事件”、“考慮某計(jì)劃是否切實(shí)可行”時(shí)，一般不和 think of 換用。如：

I often thought about what the teacher said last time I saw her .

think over 意為“仔細(xì)考慮”。
