三、選擇疑問句

選擇疑問句（alternative question）的主要作用是讓對方根據(jù)所提供的信息進行選擇。選擇疑問句的主要特征是連詞or。朗讀時前一部分用升調(diào)，后一部分用降調(diào)。

（一）選擇疑問句的結構

從結構上看，選擇疑問句有兩種形式：1.一般形式；2.特殊形式。

1.一般形式：基本上和一般疑問句同形，所不同的是選擇疑問句會在一般疑問句后面加了一個選擇部分?；拘问绞牵阂话阋蓡柧?含or的選擇部分

Do you like orange juice or apple juice？

Do you want to join the badminton club or basketball club？

Is your friend tall or short？

Can you skate or ski？

2.特殊形式：主要特點是前半部分為特殊疑問句，后半部分為選擇疑問句。基本形式：特殊疑問句+含or的選擇部分

What do you like，tea or coffee？

Which one is the biggest，the moon，the earth or the sun？

Who broke the window，Tom or Jack？

（二）選擇疑問句的回答方式

選擇疑問句的回答不能用yes或no作回答，而是要根據(jù)實際情況，在疑問句提供的答案中選擇一個回答。

—Do you like orange juice or apple juice？你喜歡橘子汁還是蘋果汁？

—I like orange juice.我喜歡橘子汁。

—Who broke the window，Tom or Jack？誰打壞了窗子，Tom 還是Jack？

—Tom./ Tom did./ Tom broke the window.是Tom打壞了窗子。
