四、一般過去時(shí)

一般過去時(shí)主要表示在說話時(shí)間以前發(fā)生的動(dòng)作或者狀態(tài)，它是英語時(shí)態(tài)體系中最重要的時(shí)態(tài)之一。

（一）be動(dòng)詞的一般過去時(shí)：主語+be （was/were）...

第一人稱和第三人稱單數(shù)用was；其他人稱一律用were。

（二）實(shí)義動(dòng)詞的一般過去時(shí)：主語+動(dòng)詞過去式 ...

The children were thirsty and tired.They ate some ice-cream.孩子們又渴又累，他們吃了冰淇淋。（ate為eat的過去形式，屬不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞）

I lived in Shanghai two years ago.兩年前我住在上海。

Lucy studied English all day yesterday.Now she has a headache.Lucy昨天學(xué)了一天英語，現(xiàn)在頭有點(diǎn)疼。

I enjoyed the sunshine at the beach last year.I collected a lot of beautiful shells.去年我在海灘邊享受著陽光，收集了很多美麗的貝殼。

My friends came to my birthday party and said “Happy birthday” to me.我的朋友們來參加我的生日聚會(huì)，并祝我“生日快樂”。（came為come的過去式，said為say的過去式，屬于不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞）

（注：在一般過去時(shí)中，was/were和行為動(dòng)詞過去時(shí)形式不可以同時(shí)出現(xiàn)在一句話中）
