[00:18]Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, [00:26]its own lesson on how to improve my performance the next time. [00:34]Never again will I contribute to my downfall by [00:40]refusing to face the truth and learn from my past mistakes. [00:48]Because I know: gem cannot shine without polish, and I cannot be perfect without hardship. [01:00]Always will I seek the seed of triumph in every adversity. [01:08]I am better prepared, now, to deal with any adversity. [01:14]No matter what fate has in store for me to know that I will relish it [01:22]or I will suffer it for only a brief, brief time. [01:29]So very few understand this obvious truth [01:34]while the rest allow their hopes and goals to vanish as soon as tragedy strikes. [01:44]These unfortunate people carry it with them, until they die their own bed of thorns and look to others, [01:57]every day, for sympathy and attention. [02:02]Adversity will never destroy the person with courage and faith. [02:10]Always will I seek the seed of triumph in every adversity. [02:19]Now I know that there are no times in life when opportunity, [02:26]the chance to be and do, gathers so richly about my soul [02:34]as when it has to suffer cruel adversity. [02:39]Then everything depends on whether I raise my head or lower it in seeking help. [02:49]Whenever I am struck down, in the future, by any terrible defeat, [02:57]I will always inquire of myself, [03:01]after the first pain has passed how I can turn that adversity into good. [03:10]What a great opportunity that moment might present... [03:16]to take the bitter root I am holding and transform it into a fragrant garden of flowers!
