Linking in English
英語中的連續(xù)
When we say a sentence in English ,we join or"link" words to each other.
當我們說一個句子時，我們把詞語互相“加”起來或者是“連”起來。
Because of this linking ,the words in a sentence do not always sound the same as when we say them individually ,
因為這種連讀，一個句子中的詞語才不會聽起來總是像我們一個一個地將它們說出來一樣。
Linking is very important in English.If you recohnize and use linking,two things will happen:
連讀在英語是很重要的，如果你學會了運用連讀，下面兩件事情就會發(fā)生。
1 You will understand other people more easily.
你會更容易理解別人說的話。
2.other people will understand you more easily.
別人會更容易理解你說的話。
There are basically two types of linking .One is that we link words ending with a consonant sound towards beginning with a vowel sound .
連讀基本上有兩種。 一中就是我們把以輔音結尾起來讀。
The other is that we link words ending with a vowel sound to words beginning with a vowel sound..
另一種就是我們把元音結尾的單詞與元音開頭的單詞連起來讀。
Linking is the sound,not the letter.
連讀是聲音的連接，不是字母的連接。
Often the letter and the sound are the same,but not always.
英語中一個字母和它的發(fā)音往往是一樣的，但并非總是如此。
For example, the word "pay" ends with the consonant letter "y" while the vowel sound is "a" .
例如，單詞“pay” 是以輔音“Y”結尾的，卻是以中間元音發(fā)音的。

When a word ends in a consonant sound, we often move the consonant sound to the beginning of the next word if it starts with a vowel sound.
當一個詞以輔音結尾時，我們常常把該輔音的發(fā)音挪到第二個單詞的前面同一個元音一塊發(fā)音。
For example, in the phrase"turn off"
例如， 在詞組"turn off"中。
we write it like this turn off
我們這樣寫。
We say it like this tur noff
我們卻這樣讀
Remember that it's the sound that matters ,In the next example."have" ends with .
記?。?這只是與聲音有關。下一個例子，看看" have" 。
the letter "e" the sound "v"
那個字母e, 那個聲音V.
So we link " have " to the next word "a " which begins with a vowel sound
因此我們把have和下一個單詞的a 以元音開始的單詞連讀起來。
We write it like this Can I have a bit of egg?
我們這樣寫 ：
We say it like this : Ca-nI-ha-bi-to-fegg?
我們卻這樣說：
When one word ends with a vowel sound and the next word begins with a vowel sound ,we link the words with a sort of"w" or"Y" sound.
當一個單詞以元音結尾下一個單詞以一個元音開頭時，我們用一種“w” 或" y" 的聲音將它們連起來。
If our lips are round at the end of the first word,we insert a "w" sound:
如果在發(fā)最后一個單詞時我們的嘴唇處于圓形的位置，我們可以插入一個"w"的音。
We write it like this too often who is so I do all.
我們像這樣寫
We say it like this toooften whowis sowI dowall
而我們卻這樣說：
If our lips are wide at the end of the first word ,we insert a "Y" sound.
如果在發(fā)最后一個單詞時我們的嘴唇處于開闊的位置，我們可以插入一個"y" 的音。
We write it like this I am Kay is the end she asked
我們這樣寫它
We say it like this Iyam Kayyis theyend sheyasked
而我們卻這樣讀：
