MAN:Okay,Mr.Taylor, let's go ahead and begin.First of all .tell me about your last job.
好吧！泰勒先生，讓我們開始吧！首先，說說你的上一份工作。
Mr.Talor: Well, as stated on my resume, I worked for five years at Hi Tech Computers.
就如同我在個人簡歷上所寫的，我在“高科電腦”工作了五年。
MAN:Okay, Hi Tech.And what do you know about computer networks and operating systems including DOS ,Windows ,MacintoshOS ,and UNIX?
知道了，在“高科”工作過。你知不知道電腦網絡和諸如ＤＯＳ，Ｗｉｎｄｏｗｓ，Ｍａｃｉｎｔｏｓｈ?。希雍停眨危桑剡@樣的操作系統(tǒng)？
Mr,Taylor: Umm... well... I did come in contact with computers every night at my last job.
這個．．．在上一份工作中我確實每晚都同電腦有接觸。
Man: Hum!...And how about web site authoring skills?
網站編程工作怎么樣？
We are looking for someone to create and manage our company's web site which would include the development, configuration,and use of CGI scripts.
我們正在物色一個人開發(fā)和管理公司的網站，包括網站的發(fā)展、配置以及ＣＧＩ手寫板的運用。
MrTaylor: Umm... uh,web page .web page ,Huh...I don't think I've read that book ,and I'm afraid I've never used those CGI things.
呃，維伯網頁。．．．我沒有看過這方面的書，我想我恐怕從來沒用過那些象ＣＧＩ的東西。
Man: Huh? And what about experience with Java or JavaScript?
是嗎？有沒有接觸過Ｊａｖａ或者是ＪａｖａＳｃｒｉｐｔ軟件的經歷？
Mr.Taylor: Well... I think I've tried Java at a foreign coffee shop one time ,it that what you mean.
我記得曾經在一間外國咖啡店用過一次Ｊａｖａ軟件，如果你認為那也算是的話。
Man: Okay ,Mr.Taylor, I think I have all the information I need!
好吧！泰勒先生，我想，關于你的情況我已經都清楚了。
Mr.Taylor: Oh, and I really like computer games .I play them everyday.
喔，我真的喜歡電腦游戲。我每天都玩游戲的。
Man: Right ,right.Thank Mu.Taylor we'll be in touch.
好了！謝謝你，泰勒先生。讓我們保持聯絡。
Rene and Grant are at a job interview.
Rene和Grant在進行工作面試。
Rene: Well Grant.I like your resume ,but there's one thing that bothers me.
啊Grant，我喜歡你的簡歷，但是仍有一件事困擾我。
Grant: What is it?
那是什么？
Rene: Don't worry ,it's not like I can't hold down a steady job. I have reasons for leaving each company.
別擔心，這并不意味著我不能堅持做一份穩(wěn)定的工作，我離開每一個公司都是有理由的。
Rene: Good ,So what were your reasons?
好，那么你的理由是什么？
Grant: Well ,the first one I left because they expected me to work nights and weekends without overtime whenever they needed me.
好，第一份工作我離開是因為他期望我無論是晚上還是周末，只要他們需要我，沒有什么加班費。
Rene; Ok, I can understand.
行，我能理解。
We might ask the same thing here but we do promise overtime.
我們這也可能要求你同樣做，不過我保證是有加班費。
Grant: Good. Well let's see... The second company was the opposite:they never gave me anything to do.
好，讓我想想。。。第二公司剛好相反，他們從不給我事情做。
I just sat and waited for them to give me something to do.

Rene:So you like to work? That's good.
那么你喜歡工作？那很好。
We promise to make full use of you. The third company?

Grant; It was a horrible commute I had to wake up at 5:30am each morning to get to work.
上下班太可怕了，我不得不每天早上五點半去上班。
Rene: Understandable.And the fourth?
可理解的，第四個呢？
Grant: I just didn't get along with my boss .
我僅僅不能和我的老板相處。
We had different personalities and work styles and they didn't work well together.
我們有不同的個性和工作作風，他們在一起工作不好。
Rene: I see, Well, we'll think about it and get back to you.ok?
我明白，好了。我將想一下然后給你答復，行嗎？
There's one thing that bothers me.
