When the green woods laugh with the voice of juy,
And the dimpling stream runs laughing by;
When the air does laugh with our merry wit,
And the green hill laughs with the noise of it;
When the meadows laugh with lively green,
And eh grasshopper laughs in the merry scene,
When Mary and Susan and Emily,
With their sweet round mouths sing "Ha,Ha,He!"
When the painted birds laugh in the shade,
Where our table with cherries and nuts is spread,
Come live and be merry,and join with me,
To sing the sweet chorus of "Ha,Ha,He!"
青青的樹林笑出了歡樂的聲音，
汩汩的流水笑出了酒窩的細(xì)紋；
清風(fēng)就用了我們的說笑來(lái)歡笑，
青青的山頭就用它滿山的鳥叫；
青草地一片青翠，笑得真清脆，
歡笑的蟈蟈兒不會(huì)在熱鬧里打瞌睡，
我們的小瑪麗，小蘇珊，還有愛米莉，
張開了可愛的小嘴兒歌唱著“哈，哈，嘻！”
枝頭上穿插著歡笑，歡跳的彩鳥，
書蔭里我們擺一桌子核桃和櫻桃，
快來(lái)吧，來(lái)生活，來(lái)作樂，來(lái)跟我在一起，
一塊兒歌唱可愛的合唱調(diào)"哈，哈,嘻!"
