        第一章 并列平行結(jié)構(gòu)(一)

　　英語(yǔ)句子最常用的方法是通過(guò)使用一些關(guān)聯(lián)詞，如 and、or等，或標(biāo)點(diǎn)符號(hào)，如：分號(hào)，逗號(hào)，破折號(hào)等，若干個(gè)在語(yǔ)義上有聯(lián)系或相互照應(yīng)的單詞、詞組或子句連在一起組成一種并列或平行結(jié)構(gòu)的長(zhǎng)句，以表達(dá)一個(gè)復(fù)雜的多層次含義。這種句式雖然難度不一定很高，但在復(fù)雜長(zhǎng)句中還是占了相當(dāng)大的比例的。

 

　　Classroom ：

　　1. I wanted her to know that my heart was with her,and that I thought England owed her a great debt and was going to miss her.

　　要 點(diǎn): that my heart……and that I thought為兩個(gè)并列賓語(yǔ)從句;owed her ……and was going…… 為兩個(gè)并列的謂語(yǔ)結(jié)構(gòu)。

　　參考譯文：我想讓她知道我的心和她在一起，而且我認(rèn)為英國(guó)欠了她一大筆債，很快就會(huì)懷念她。

 

　　2. And neither friends nor family can convince phobic people that most animals are harmless,that thousands of travelers fly safely every day,and millions of people ride safely in elevators several times each day.

　　要 點(diǎn): neither……nor連接并列主語(yǔ)。”convince”后接”people”作賓語(yǔ)，另外三個(gè)”that……”從句并列作”convince”的賓語(yǔ)，其中最后一個(gè) ”that……”從句前省略了”that”，若補(bǔ)齊即為”(that)millions of people……each day”。

　　參考譯文：朋友們及家庭成員都無(wú)法說(shuō)服恐懼癥患者，使他們相信多數(shù)動(dòng)物對(duì)人無(wú)害，數(shù)以千計(jì)的旅行者每日都安全飛行，數(shù)百萬(wàn)的人每天都安全地乘好幾次電梯。

 

　　3. Review important points mentioned in class as well as points you remain confused about.

　　要 點(diǎn)：as well as為連接詞組，意為“不但……而且……;既……又……”，在句中連接并列成分。還要注意as well as的用法與not only…but also…相同，但重點(diǎn)通常在as well as前面的部分。

　　參考譯文：不僅要復(fù)習(xí)你仍然混淆不清的地方，而且要重溫課堂上提到的要點(diǎn)。

　　1. We need to be taught the duty of planting trees as well as of cutting them.

　　1.要 點(diǎn)：注意as well as的用法，as well as of后省略了the duty，補(bǔ)齊為as well as the duty of cutting them.

　　3.要 點(diǎn)：動(dòng)詞后面又兩個(gè)引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句。這個(gè)詞在這里是個(gè)名詞表示存在，不是非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。

　　參考譯文：這不是容易學(xué)會(huì)的一課。當(dāng)我們年輕并認(rèn)為世界是由我們掌握的，并且認(rèn)為充滿熱情、全力以赴地去渴求什么都可能——不，而且一定會(huì)——得到時(shí)，尤其如此。
