近日有報道稱中石油集團以遠低于市值的價格為員工在北京購買了1000多所公寓，激起了民眾的強烈抗議。

"As a big state-owned company, CNPC might have abackroom deal with the property developer to get such a big discount," said Chang Xue, a university administrator who is planning to buy an apartment in the community.

在上面的報道中，backroom deal就是"密室交易"，也就是暗中進行的交易。Backroom的意思是"秘密的，在幕后進行的"，例如：backroom politics(幕后政治活動).

除了密室交易外，我們還可以經(jīng)常見到許多不同的"交易"，如："黑市交易"black market transaction，"現(xiàn)金交易"cash transaction，"實物交易"barter，"內(nèi)線交易"insider trading，以及"轉手交易"swing transaction等。
