新四軍軍部舊址由軍部司令部、政治部、大會(huì)堂等10處構(gòu)成，分布在云嶺山與四顧山之間的10個(gè)自然村中，占地面積約3萬(wàn)平方米，是全國(guó)愛(ài)國(guó)主義教育示范基地。1961年3月4日，國(guó)務(wù)院公布云嶺新四軍軍部舊址為首批全國(guó)重點(diǎn)文物保護(hù)單位?，F(xiàn)在為國(guó)家AAAA級(jí)旅游景區(qū)。

云嶺公路右方是的白果樹(shù)、丁家山兩個(gè)村子，是當(dāng)年中共皖南特委和中共中央東南局所在地。對(duì)面的陳氏祠堂是新四軍軍部大禮堂，周恩來(lái)同志當(dāng)年就在這個(gè)大禮堂給新四軍指戰(zhàn)員作報(bào)告。新四軍司令部設(shè)在羅里村，當(dāng)年葉挺、項(xiàng)英同志就住在村里的種墨園和大夫第兩座宅院里，村東的葉子女河上有葉挺軍長(zhǎng)親自設(shè)計(jì)的葉挺橋。

新四軍軍部舊址紀(jì)念館籌建于1962年12月，館址設(shè)在種墨園和大夫第兩座宅院內(nèi)，館內(nèi)陳列珍貴的革命文物4000余件，1968年，陳毅元帥為紀(jì)念館題寫(xiě)了館名。1984年8月，李先念同志為館題詞“云嶺烽火，戰(zhàn)士丹心”。1984年9月，新四軍軍部舊址陳列館開(kāi)館，葉飛同志題寫(xiě)門(mén)楣橫匾。

2001年5月21日，在中央有關(guān)單位負(fù)責(zé)人和省有關(guān)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的陪同下，江澤民、曾慶紅同志親臨新四軍軍部舊址視察。江澤民總書(shū)記為云嶺新四軍紀(jì)念館題寫(xiě)?zhàn)^名，并強(qiáng)調(diào)在改革開(kāi)放和現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)的新時(shí)期，始終要大力發(fā)揚(yáng)革命先烈的英勇奮斗精神。

下面我們?cè)偃シN墨園參觀一下，種墨園原來(lái)是座地主宅院，建于清末，軍長(zhǎng)葉挺、副參謀長(zhǎng)周子昆等新四軍將領(lǐng)及國(guó)際友人史沫特萊、音樂(lè)家任光都曾在這里居住辦公。1939年春， 周恩來(lái)同志視察新四軍軍部時(shí)曾下榻葉挺軍長(zhǎng)的辦公室。
