At the foot of Sunlight Rock stands the Memorial Hall of Zheng Cheng gong，built in honor of the hero's feats whichinclude expelling the Dutch colonists and reoccupying Taiwan. Wandering up the steep rock path,visitors will see many profound inscriptions left by poets， the oldest of which dates back to over 400 years. This is the main cultural sight on the hill.

日光巖的山腳下坐落著民族英雄鄭成功紀(jì)念館。此館為紀(jì)念他為驅(qū)逐荷蘭殖民者和收復(fù)臺(tái)灣所做出的貢獻(xiàn)而建。 沿著陡峭的石徑拾級(jí)而登，游客們可以觀賞到許多古代詩(shī)人留下的寓意深?yuàn)W的題詞石刻，其中年代最久的可以追溯到400多年前。這里是日光巖文化遺跡的主要薈萃地。

Continuing on，you will see toe preserved training grounds of Zheng Chenggong's troops. Near the field is a huge rock bridging two cliffs，forming a natural entrance to a cave. This is called“Old Summer Cave"(Gu Bi shu Dong)where you can feel a pleasant cool breeze. It's the perfect viewing spot to appreciate the scenery of Gulangyu Island.A fantastic panorama of Xiamen City，including Nanputuo Temple.Xiamen University， Hulishan Battery，etc is within view.

當(dāng)人們繼續(xù)拾級(jí)而上時(shí)，還可以看到當(dāng)年鄭成功訓(xùn)練水師的訓(xùn)練場(chǎng)遺址。訓(xùn)練場(chǎng)旁邊有一塊連接兩座峭壁的巨石，被稱為“片瓦”巨石嵌空，形成進(jìn)入殿堂(庵洞)的天然人日通道。這里叫做“占避署洞”，里面涼爽愜意，微風(fēng)習(xí)習(xí)。登臨絕頂，山海奇觀，風(fēng)光無(wú)限:廈門市區(qū)，南一普陀寺，廈門大學(xué)，胡里山炮臺(tái)，大擔(dān)、二擔(dān)諸島盡收眼底。
