逝世16周年 銘記"哥哥"張國榮

April 1 is a special day for fans of Leslie Cheung. Thisyear, it marks the 16th anniversary of the death ofthe singer and actor due to depression.

4月1日對張國榮的粉絲來說是一個特殊的日子。今年是這位歌手兼演員因抑郁癥去世的第16周年。

"I am who I am, a different colored sparkle. I lovemyself, just like the blooming rose waiting toflourish even in the desert," Leslie Cheung sang inone of his musical masterpieces I. He is considered"one of the founding fathers of Cantopop" forachieving huge success both in film and music.

“我就是我，是顏色不一樣的煙火。我喜歡我，讓薔薇開出一種結(jié)果，孤獨的沙漠里，一樣盛放的赤裸裸。”哥哥在他音樂作品中其中一首歌這樣唱道。他因在電影和音樂上實現(xiàn)的巨大成功，被認為是“粵語流行音樂的創(chuàng)始人之一”。

 

Starting his career as a singer in 1977, Cheung rose to fame six years later thanks to the songThe Wind Blows On. He has released many popular albums and received numerous musicawards, including being honored as Asia's Biggest Superstar at the 2000 CCTV-MTV MusicHonors.

1977年張以一名歌手出道，六年后，他因為歌曲《風繼續(xù)吹》而名聲大噪。他發(fā)行了很多受歡迎的專輯，并獲得了許多音樂獎項，包括在2000年CCTV-MTV音樂殿堂上被評為亞洲最火超級巨星。

However, there's much more to him, beyond his superior musical accomplishments. In the late1980s, he shifted his career focus to the movie industry and shaped many classic roles that noone can rival, even to this day.

Some have said you might not really know Leslie Cheung's music, but you've probably seen atleast one or two of his sentimental films.

Since his passing, his admirers have called him "the elder brother" and memorialized him in avariety of ways, including art exhibitions, movie remakes, musical concerts by impersonatorsand documentaries.
