　　美國華人社會自上世紀(jì)70年代以來經(jīng)歷了巨大的變化。最顯著的變化是隨著許多中國人不斷涌入美國，美國華人經(jīng)濟得到快速增長。美國華人家庭的年均收入已超過美國白人家庭。而且，近年來在美國如雨后春筍般涌現(xiàn)了一批杰出的華裔科技人才。他們的成就引起了世界上科學(xué)家和技術(shù)專家的注意并得到了贊賞。同時華人的政治地位也得到了顯著提升，步入美國政治圈的華人逐漸增多。
