由兩類連接詞引導的同位語從句：

（1）一般由that連接

【例1】 　I lent him my car on condition that he would return it before the weekend.

【譯文】 　我把車借給了他，條件是周末前還我。

【例2】 　Einstein came to the conclusion that the maximum speed possible in the universe is that of light.

【譯文】 　Einstein得出結論：宇宙中最快的速度是光速。

【例3】 　I'm greatly shocked when I heard the news that his father passed away yesterday.

【譯文】 　當我聽到他父親昨天過世的消息時，我感到很震驚。

【例4】 　His proposal that college students should wear uniform met with strong resistance.

【譯文】 　他建議大學生應該穿校服，但受到了強烈的抵制。

（2）有時也可用wh-連接

【例1】 　There arose the question when we could achieve our purpose.

【譯文】 　我們什么時候可以實現(xiàn)目標，這一問題已經(jīng)出現(xiàn)。

【例2】 　The question what he shall do with such a large sum of money came to him suddenly.

【譯文】 　他突然想到一個問題：他將如何處理這樣一大筆錢。

【例3】 　I have no idea how I can make myself understood.

【譯文】 　我不知道怎樣才能讓別人理解自己。
