由兩類連接詞引導的表語從句：

（1）that連接

【例1】 　The truth is that he lacks the decisiveness to be a leader.

【譯文】 　事實是他缺乏作為領(lǐng)導者應(yīng)有的決斷力。

【例2】 　My opinion is that we take the initiative into our own hands.

【譯文】 　我認為我們應(yīng)該采取主動。

【例3】 　What I dislike about the deal is that it is really dishonest.

【譯文】 　我之所以不喜歡這個交易，是因為它是欺詐性的。

【例4】 　The question is whether he should give his opponent a hand.

【譯文】 　問題是他是否應(yīng)該幫助自己的對手。

（2）wh-連接

【例1】 　The king's concern is who will succeed to his throne.

【譯文】 　國王焦慮的是，由誰來繼承自己的王位。

【例2】 　What he worries about is how his family shall pull through the current crisis.

【譯文】 　他所擔心的是，自己的家庭該如何擺脫眼前的危機。

【例3】 　The question put forward by the consultant is what the management is to do with the workers' strike.

【譯文】 　顧問提出的問題是，管理方應(yīng)該如何應(yīng)對工人們的罷工。
