基本概況 General Information

華東師范大學(xué)是國家教育部直屬全國重點(diǎn)大學(xué)。學(xué)校創(chuàng)建于1951年10月16日，是以大夏大學(xué)、光華大學(xué)為基礎(chǔ)，同時(shí)調(diào)進(jìn)復(fù)旦大學(xué)和同濟(jì)大學(xué)等院校的部分系科，在大夏大學(xué)原址_上創(chuàng)辦的新中國第一所社會(huì)主義師范大學(xué)。

East China Ministry of Normal University(ECNU)， under the direct auspices of the Education was founded on October 16，1951 on the site of Great China University with most of its faculties from Great China University joined by some faculties from a number of other universities such as Fudan University and Tongji University and it was the first socialist normal university of the new China.

1959年華東師范大學(xué)就被確定為全國首批16所重點(diǎn)院校之一，是1986年國務(wù)院批準(zhǔn)首批建立研究生院的33所高等院校之一1996年通過“211工程”預(yù)審并被列人國家重點(diǎn)建設(shè)大學(xué)行列。2006年教育部和上海市決定重點(diǎn)共建華東師范大學(xué)，學(xué)校在建設(shè)世界知名的高水平研究型大學(xué)的道路上邁出了堅(jiān)實(shí)步伐。

in 1959，it was listed in the first group of sixteen state key universities and it was one of the thirty-three institutions of highef learning authorized by the State Council as the first group to establish the graduate school.In 1996，the university passed the examination and was listed into the national“Project 211”.In 2006，the minister of Education the Shanghai PJlunicipal Government agreed to jointly build ECNU，which has laid a solid foundation for it to build itself into a world一renowned research-oriented university.

華東師范大學(xué)地處上海，現(xiàn)有閡行校區(qū)和中山北路校區(qū)，校園占地總面積207公頃 學(xué)校圖書館建于1951年，現(xiàn)全館面積約3. 2萬平方米，藏書量350余萬冊(cè)。

ECNU is located in Shanghai with Minhang Campus and North Zhongshan Road Campus. It occupies a total area of 207 hectares. The library of East China Normal University，with a total area of about 32 000 square meters，was established in October 1951 The collection of books in the library has exceeded 3500000 volumes.

學(xué)校目前設(shè)置19個(gè)全日制學(xué)院，含44個(gè)系、51個(gè)本科專業(yè)。其中中文、歷史、數(shù)學(xué)、地理、心理s個(gè)專業(yè)是國家文理科基礎(chǔ)科學(xué)人才培養(yǎng)和科學(xué)研究基地。此外，學(xué)校擁有6個(gè)國家重點(diǎn)學(xué)科，一個(gè)國家重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室，6個(gè)教育部和上海市重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室，6個(gè)教育部人文社會(huì)科學(xué)重點(diǎn)研究基地，以及140余個(gè)研究所和一批跨學(xué)科的研究、實(shí)驗(yàn)計(jì)算及測試中心。研究生院擁有14個(gè)一級(jí)學(xué)科博士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，116個(gè)二級(jí)學(xué)科博士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，8個(gè)一級(jí)學(xué)科碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)170個(gè)二級(jí)學(xué)科碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)，10個(gè)博士后科研流動(dòng)站。

The University has 19 full-time schools of 44 departments offering 51 undergraduate programs，5 of which，Chinese，History，Mathematics，Geography and Psychology，are on the list of State Training and Research Bases for Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences. Besides，the University has 6 state key programs，1 state

key laboratory，6 key laboratories under the Ministry of Education and Shanghai City，6 key research bases for humanities and social sciences approved by the Ministry of Education，and over 140 research institutes and a number of multi-disciplinary research experiment，computing and testing centers. The Graduate School offers 14 doctoral programs in the first level，116 doctoral programs in the second level，8 master's programs in the first level 170 master's programs in the second level including Master's Degree of Education and MPA)and has 10 mobile post-doctoral research stations.

學(xué)校師資力量雄厚，現(xiàn)有教職4500余人，其中專任教師1700余人，教授及其他高級(jí)職稱教師1100余人;中國科學(xué)院和中國工程院院士12人 含雙聘院士6人)，教育部“長江學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)計(jì)劃”特聘教授、講座教授6人，新世紀(jì)“百千萬人才工程”國家級(jí)人選13人，國家杰出青年基金獲得者10人，華東師范大學(xué)“紫江學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)計(jì)劃”特聘教授講座教授49人，華東師范大學(xué)終身教授90人

ECNU has a well-balanced faculty team with excellent academic capability. Among the 4500 faculties，there are 1700 fulltime teachers，1100 full professors and associate professors，12 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences or the Chinese Academy of Engineering(6 of them belong to both academies)，6 specially-invited professors or lecture professors on“Cheungkong Scholars Program”，13 teachers selected by national“Millions of Talents program”，10 recipients of National Outstanding Youth Foundation49 specially-invited professors or lecture professors on“Zijiang Scholars Program" of ECNU，and 90 lifelong professors of ECNU.

ECNU has the total enrollment of 45000 students，25 900 of them are fulltime students，including 13 600 undergraduate students，9 800 graduates for master's or doctoral degrees，and 2 500 foreign students. 歷史變遷 Glorious History

1951年華東師范大學(xué)誕’!幾.以私立大夏大學(xué)、光華大學(xué)的文、理科為基礎(chǔ)創(chuàng)建。

1951 East China Normal University was founded on the basis of Daxia University and Guanghua University.

1972年上海師范學(xué)院、，仁海教育學(xué)院、上海體育學(xué)院、上海半工半讀師范學(xué)院等校合并，改名為上海師范大學(xué)

1972 It was again joined with Shanghai Teachers Institute，Shanghai Education Institute，Shanghai Physical Education institute，Shanghai in-Service-Teachers Institote and was renamed Shanghai Normal University.

1978年上海師范學(xué)院、上海教育學(xué)院和上海體育學(xué)院從學(xué)校分離出去，相繼恢復(fù)原來的建制。

1978 The above institutes separated again.

1980年經(jīng)教育部批準(zhǔn)恢復(fù)華東師范大學(xué)

1980 ECNU regained its original name.

1997年上海教育學(xué)院、上海第二教育學(xué)院、上海幼兒師范高等專科學(xué)校并入華東師大。

1997 Shanghai Education Institute Shanghai Second Education Institute and Shanghai Preschool ducation College were amalgamated into ECNU.
