基本概況 General Information

中國傳媒大學始建于1954年，是教育部直屬的國家“211工程”重點大學，致力于廣播、電視、電影、網(wǎng)絡(luò)、出版、報刊等傳媒人才培養(yǎng)和科學研究，是中國信息傳播教育的最高學府。

CUC has successively developed into a comprehensive university of liberal arts，engineering art management，science，economics，law and education with the two disciplines of liberal arts and engineering as its characteristics.All these，together with its distinctive features and unique advantages，have won CUC an outstanding place among universities in China.

學校位于北京東郊占運河畔，校園占地近47公頃，校舍總面積46萬平方米擁有先進的教學公共服務(wù)體系，包括實驗教學與設(shè)備管理中心、計算中心、多媒付教室、多媒體校園網(wǎng)、有線電視雙向傳輸網(wǎng)、圖書文獻信息資源網(wǎng)，以及在國家廣播電視光纖干線網(wǎng)基礎(chǔ)上建立的現(xiàn)代遠程教育網(wǎng)。圖書館藏書100萬冊，音像資料50萬余盒，報刊3 000多種，電子報刊s o00多種。

CUC is located by the side of China Grand Canal in the east suburb of Beijing and now occupies an area of 47 hectares with a floor space up to 400000 square meters. CUC houses lots of modern professional laboratories，a computer center，a multi-media campus Internet，a digital cable-TV transmission network，a modern long-distance education network and a literature and information network .as well as a modern distance education network based on the national optical fiber cable network. The total collections of the university library reaches over a million volumes;there are also 500 000 cassettes of audio-and-visual materials，3000 kinds of magazines and 8000 kinds of electronic newspapers and magazines.

學校現(xiàn)設(shè)37個系全校開設(shè)71個本?？茖I(yè)，擁有一個一級學科博士點、10個二級學科學科博士點、19個碩士點。目前在讀學生26000余人，其中全日制本?？粕?0600人，博士、碩士研究生1980 函授、夜大生9 000人、網(wǎng)絡(luò)大學生4 000多人，外國留學生510人。學校被譽為中國廣播電視傳播人才的搖籃。

CUC consists of 37departments distributed in 12 colleges. The university can offer 71 bachelor programs，1 doctorate programs in first-level disciplines，10 doctorate programs in second一level disciplines，19 master's programs，as well as three post-doctoral stations. the total number of students in CUC is more than 26000，including 10600 full-time undergraduates programs，1980 master's degrees candidates and doctoral candidates，9000 students for distance education or night school education，4000 online learning students and 510 overseas students. 50年來，為全國廣播電視系統(tǒng)及相關(guān)行業(yè)培養(yǎng)輸送畢業(yè)生6萬多人，培訓在職人員34萬多人次。他們遍布全國各地，形成了一支從領(lǐng)導干部到專業(yè)人員的骨干隊伍，不少人已成為著名的記者、編輯、播音員、節(jié)目主持人、導演、編劇、制片人、翻譯和高級工程技術(shù)專家。

CUC has trained around 60000 graduates and about 340000 trainees over the past fifty years. Among them many are now holding key positions from leading of fivers to professionals and a number of renowned reporters editors announcers，anchors or presenters as well as movie directors，screenwriters，producers，translators and senior engineers.

學校師資力量雄厚，專任教師945余人，教授、副教授占50%以上，擁有一批在國內(nèi)外享有一定聲譽的教授、學者，還聘請了百余名國內(nèi)外著名專家學者為特邀教授、客座教授、兼職教授。學校的科學研究在全國廣播電視學術(shù)領(lǐng)域居領(lǐng)先地位。

CUC has a strong faculty team with 945 members，more than 50% of whom are professors and associate professors. Many of the scholars enjoy great fame both at home and abroad. Also，more than 100 experts and visiting scholars work here as specially一invited professors，guest professors and part-time professors.CUC enjoys the leading position in the field of broadcasting research in China.

校內(nèi)設(shè)有廣播電視研究中心、新聞與傳播研究所、)一播電視技術(shù)研究所、國際廣告研究所、調(diào)查統(tǒng)計研究學校的校訓是:“立德、敬業(yè)、博學、竟先”，遵循“植根廣播電視系統(tǒng)依托傳媒界，面向全社會開放辦學”的思路，逐步形成一了自己鮮明的特色。

It has over twenty-six academic research organizations such as National Centre for Radio and Television Studies，Journalism and Communication Institution，Radio and Television Technology Institution，International Advertising Research Institution，the Survey and Statistics Institution and IMI Market Information Institution，as well as National Mandarin Proficiency Test Center. Moreover，there are one state key research base of social sciences，three key research bases of social sciences at the ministry level and Two key laboratories of social sciences at the ministry level.

學校的發(fā)展目標是:在本世紀的中期，把中國傳煤大學建設(shè)成為具有鮮明特色、高水平、高質(zhì)量、現(xiàn)代化的國內(nèi)外知名的信息傳播大學;成為中國傳媒界的人才培養(yǎng)與人才信息交流中心，科學研究與科技開發(fā)中心，節(jié)目制作與節(jié)目交流中心，文獻信息資源匯集與發(fā)散中心。
