General Information 基本概況

China Pharmaceutical Universify(CPU)，originally the National Pharmaceutical School founded in 1936，is one of the“Project 211”key universities affiliated with Ministry of Education.CPU was China's first independent school of pharmacy and after seventy years of cultivation and construction，CPU has developed into the largest multi-disciplinary university in China focusing on pharmaceutical sciences and incorporating science，engineering，economics，business，and arts.

中國藥科大學(xué)是教育部直屬的國家“211工程”建設(shè)高校學(xué)校始建于1936年，稱為國立藥學(xué)?？茖W(xué)校，是我國第一所獨(dú)立設(shè)置的高等藥學(xué)院。經(jīng)過近70年的勵精圖治，銳意進(jìn)取，學(xué)校已發(fā)展成為以藥學(xué)為特色，理、工、、管、文學(xué)科兼有的、特色鮮明的多科性大學(xué)。

It is located in Nanjing，the ancient capital city for six dynasties in China and is composed of three campuses including Xuanwu campus，Yanziji campus and Zhenjiang campus. The new campus，Jiangning，which is under construction，covers an area of 163 hectares. Its overall construction area is 670 000 square meters.

學(xué)校位于六朝古都南京市，由南京玄武門校區(qū)、燕子磯校區(qū)和鎮(zhèn)江校區(qū)組成正在建設(shè)的江寧新校區(qū)占地面積163公頃，總建筑面積達(dá)67萬平方米

CPU consists of 10 schools and departments，6 research institutes and 7 research centers. CPU offers IS four-year undergraduate specialties as well as 26 master's programs，23 doctoral programs and 1 post-doctoral program with 6 disciplines that are approved by the Academic Degree Commission of the State Council.There are three key national disciplines:Pharmaceutical Chemistry，Pharmacognosy，Pharmaceutics and one key provincial discipline-Modern Traditional Chinese Pharmacy and Pharmacognosy. CPU is the only institution that is authorized by the Ministry of Education to admit regular students of pharmaceutical sciences，continuing education students and senior visiting scholars from overseas. It is also one of the educational institutions in the mainland for students from Hongkong，Macao and Taiwan.

學(xué)校下設(shè)l0個院部系，6個研究所,7個研究中心。設(shè)置15個本科專業(yè)，有26個碩士點(diǎn)，23個博士點(diǎn)，一個博士后流動站科專業(yè)。其中藥物化學(xué)、生藥學(xué)、藥劑學(xué)3與天然藥物學(xué)學(xué)科是江蘇省11，以及6個國務(wù)院學(xué)位委員會批準(zhǔn)的學(xué)個學(xué)科為國家重點(diǎn)學(xué)科點(diǎn)，現(xiàn)代中藥學(xué)學(xué)學(xué)科外國來華留學(xué)生、個重中之重學(xué)科之一。學(xué)校是教育部指定接受藥進(jìn)修生和高級訪問學(xué)者的唯一基地，也是教育部批準(zhǔn)可以接受華僑、港澳地區(qū)及臺灣省學(xué)生的定點(diǎn)院校之一。

The university boasts a team of high-qualified professors and pharmaceutical experts. There are more than 1 400 faculty members，including 610 full time teachers. 40 percent of them own advanced academic titles and 45 percent of them have master degrees or higher degrees. There are one academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the other from the Chinese Academy of Engineering，60 doctoral supervisors，122 master supervisors，51 teachers enjoying government special allowance.

學(xué)校師資力量雄厚，薈萃著眾多知名的藥學(xué)專家、教授?，F(xiàn)有教職員工1 400余人，專任教師610余人，其中具有高級職稱的占40 }0，具有碩士及以上學(xué)位的占45，有中國科學(xué)院院士和中國工程院院士2人，有博士生導(dǎo)師60人，碩士生導(dǎo)師122人，51名教師享受國家政府特殊津貼。

The total number of postgraduates reaches to 1 380 and nearly one third of them are doctoral candidates. There are over 7 500 full time undergraduates in the four or three year studies and over 11 000 students of adult education.

CPU operates under the guiding spirit of being“strict，practical，creative and cooperative".The students graduated from CPU have been devoting spirit, a wide range of knowledge and highly quality. For many years，the students have enjoyed a reputation from the society and the employers. The employment rate tops among the higher institutions in Jiangsu Province. The employment rate of the year 2003 graduates reached 99. 74%，with 100% for post-graduate students，99. 8}o for undergraduate students and 99. 33% for students from vocational school

學(xué)校形成了“嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、求實(shí)、團(tuán)結(jié)、創(chuàng)新”的優(yōu)良校風(fēng)。畢業(yè)生以其敬業(yè)精神好、知識面寬、能力強(qiáng)和素質(zhì)高，贏得了社會的廣泛好評和歡迎。就業(yè)率名列江蘇省高校之首。2003年的就業(yè)率高達(dá)99. 74%，其中研究生就業(yè)率100%、本科生就業(yè)率99.8%、?？粕蜆I(yè)率99.33%。
