General Information 基本概況

Hebei Universityof Technology(HEBUT) is the only state key university in
Hebei Province with its focus on engineering and a rapid development of
humanities and social sciences. The predecessor of HEBUT is Beiyang
Technological School，established in 1903.In its tenturylong history，especially
through the construction under“Project 211”，REBUT has become a famous
multi-discipline university in North China.

河北工業(yè)大學(xué)是一所以工為主、人文社科快速發(fā)展的、河北省屬唯一一所國(guó)家“211工程”建設(shè)的國(guó)家重點(diǎn)大學(xué)。學(xué)校的前身是創(chuàng)辦于1903年的北洋工藝學(xué)堂。經(jīng)過百年建設(shè)，尤其是“211工程”建設(shè)，河北工業(yè)大學(xué)已經(jīng)成為華北著名的多學(xué)科大學(xué)。

REBUT is located in the city of Tianjin on the seaside of the Bohai sea with
its branch school in Langfang city. The University now occupies an area of 227
hectares with a floor space up to 800 000 square meters. A floor space of 300
000 square meters on the new campus，which covers 167 hectares，has been put
intouse. The total collection of the university library reaches over 1 544 000
volumes.

學(xué)校坐落在渤海灣的天津市，在河北省廊坊市設(shè)有分校，占地227公頃，建筑面積80余萬平方米?？偯娣e167公頃的新校區(qū)已有30萬平方米建筑已經(jīng)投人使用。學(xué)校圖書館藏書達(dá)154.4萬冊(cè)。

The University has 16 academic schools，1 direct teaching department，57
undergraduate specialties and 23 three-year undergraduate specialties. It has 2
state key disciplines，4 disciplines of provincial level with distinctive
characteristics，15 provincial key disciplines，3 doctoral programs at the
first-level，17 doctoral programs，l0 master's programs at the first-level，56
master's programs，13 fields with engineering master's programs and 4
post-doctorate stations，one of which is assessed as the State Excellent
Post-doctorate Station.

學(xué)校設(shè)有16個(gè)學(xué)院，一個(gè)直屬教學(xué)部，57個(gè)本科專業(yè)，23個(gè)?？茖I(yè);擁有2個(gè)國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)學(xué)科，4個(gè)省級(jí)強(qiáng)勢(shì)特色學(xué)科，巧個(gè)省級(jí)重點(diǎn)學(xué)科，3個(gè)博士學(xué)位授權(quán)一級(jí)學(xué)科，17個(gè)博士學(xué)位授權(quán)學(xué)科、專業(yè)，10個(gè)碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)一級(jí)學(xué)科，56個(gè)碩士學(xué)位授權(quán)學(xué)科、專業(yè)，13個(gè)工程碩士專業(yè)學(xué)位授權(quán)領(lǐng)域，4個(gè)博士后科研流動(dòng)站，1個(gè)博士后科研流動(dòng)站被評(píng)為全國(guó)優(yōu)秀博士后流動(dòng)站。

The total number of faculty members of REBUT is more than 2 100，including 1
100 professionals，600 full or associate professors，over 200 with doctor
degrees，59 doctoral supervisors，365 master supervisors，21 recipients of special
subsidies from the State Council，2 professors on“Cheungkong Scholars
Program"，and 46 experts and scholars with outstanding contributions or excellent
talents of the newcentury. Currently，the university has the total enrollment of
20 500 students，including 17 300 undergraduate students and three-year
undergraduates，3 200 master's or doctoral candidates，and nearly 10 000
undergraduate students of adult education. What is more，City College of Hebei
University of Technology，which is the independent second-class college under
REBUT and was founded in 2001 authorized by the Government of Hebei Province and
the Ministry of Education，has 45 undergraduate specialties and 12 000 fulltime
students.

100余人，具有副高級(jí)以上職稱教師600余人，具有博士學(xué)位教師200余人，博士生導(dǎo)師59人、碩士生導(dǎo)師365人，享受國(guó)務(wù)院特殊津貼21人，“長(zhǎng)江學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)計(jì)劃”特聘教授崗位2個(gè)。省級(jí)以上有突出貢獻(xiàn)的專家、學(xué)者、新世紀(jì)優(yōu)秀人才、名師46人?，F(xiàn)有全日制在校生20

200余人。另有成人本專科教育學(xué)生近萬人。經(jīng)河北省人民政府批準(zhǔn)、教育部予以確認(rèn)、依托河北工業(yè)大學(xué)創(chuàng)立的獨(dú)立二級(jí)學(xué)院—河北工業(yè)大學(xué)城市學(xué)院，成立于2001年，現(xiàn)設(shè)有45個(gè)本科專業(yè)，在校生12
000余人。

Glorious History 歷史變遷

1903 Beiyang Technological School，the predecessor of Hebei University of
Technology，was established.

1903年河北工業(yè)大學(xué)的前身北洋工藝學(xué)堂成立。

1904 It was renamed Zhili High Academy of Technology.

1904年改稱直隸高等工業(yè)學(xué)校。

1929 It was renamed Technological College of Hebei Province

1929年改稱河北省立工業(yè)學(xué)院。

1950 It was renamed Hebei Technological College.

1950年改名為河北工學(xué)院。

1995 It was renamed Hebei University of Technology.

1995年更名為河北工業(yè)大學(xué)。
