A：Have you ever heard about Man Han Chuan Xi at all?
 
你聽說過滿漢全席嗎？
 
B：I am not sure. What was it like?
 
不大清楚。能告訴我嗎？
 
A：In the Qing Dynasty the court invented a special type of cuisine for the royal family, which included many elaborate dishes at one meal. It is called Man Han Quan Xi.
 
在中國清朝時(shí)期，宮廷里發(fā)明了一種包括很多道菜的美宴，稱做“滿漢全席”，不過只有極少數(shù)皇族才能夠享用。
 
B：Sounds good. Let's go have some now.
 
聽起來不錯(cuò)呀。我們現(xiàn)在就去吃。
 
A：It's practically impossible now because there are probably only a few people in the world who know how to make it. They say it takes three to four days for them to make just one meal.
 
恐怕不行。現(xiàn)在，也許只有少數(shù)幾個(gè)人會(huì)做。據(jù)說做一次得花三四天的時(shí)間。
 
B：It's very time consuming.
 
那的確很浪費(fèi)時(shí)間。
 
A：I think some people do eat it, but most people don't have the chance to.
 
我覺得確實(shí)有少數(shù)人能吃到，但大多數(shù)人沒有這個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)的。
 
B：It's a fast paced world today. People don't have time to cook for five days for a meal.
 
這是一個(gè)快節(jié)奏的社會(huì)。人們不可能花上五天時(shí)間去準(zhǔn)備一頓飯。
 
A：That's not the problem. The problem is that most people don't know how to cook it because there are so many kinds of dishes.
 
這還不是最根本的問題。由于滿漢全席菜肴種類繁多，程序復(fù)雜，所以大部分人根本就不知道是怎么做的。
