A: What about the idea that some people think that maybe there should be no grades? That there is just maybe you achieve or don't achieve. It's more binary. Either yes or no.
 
有人認(rèn)為不應(yīng)該有評(píng)分，你怎么看？他們認(rèn)為只有做到和沒做到之分。像二進(jìn)制一樣，只有是和否。
 
B: I don't really know how I feel about that. I went to a school when I was younger that actually didn't have ... everybody was just put together in a large room and different teachers worked with different students according to their abilities and there were no grades. As an adult now, I'm not really sure how I feel about that system. I wasn't there long enough to see what I could do with that environment. If it benefited me, or if it was to my detriment, so I really don't have an opinion on that.
 
我不太清楚對(duì)這種觀點(diǎn)是什么感覺。我小時(shí)候念過一所學(xué)校，所有人都在一間大教室里，依據(jù)學(xué)生的能力，會(huì)有不同的老師來授課，沒有評(píng)分?，F(xiàn)在我是成年人了，我不太確定我對(duì)這種制度的感覺。我在那所學(xué)校的時(shí)間不長，我不知道我能否適應(yīng)那個(gè)環(huán)境。我也不知道那種制度是有益于我，還是對(duì)我不利，所以我只能說我對(duì)這種觀點(diǎn)沒有什么判斷。
 
A: How about when you were younger, were you often stressed about your grades?

B: Yes. Yes, I was. I was very stressed. I used to stay up until three or four o'clock in the morning trying to complete projects. Studying all the time. I also did track, so I was very worried. You're in competition with your classmates because later on you have to go and get into college and then you have to get a job and it all starts in primary and secondary school, so it's important to do well there.
 
對(duì)，是的，經(jīng)常。我壓力非常大。我以前為了完成學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)經(jīng)常要熬夜到凌晨三四點(diǎn)。我當(dāng)時(shí)一直在學(xué)習(xí)。我要跟上進(jìn)度，所以我當(dāng)時(shí)非常擔(dān)心。你要和同學(xué)競爭，才能上大學(xué)，找到工作，而這些都要從小學(xué)和初中打好基礎(chǔ)，所以從小就要做好。
 
A: So, you're very young but later in life with children, would you want your children to worry about grades, or would you want to be a parent that tell them "huh, not so much!"
 
你現(xiàn)在很年輕，以后你有了孩子，你希望你的孩子擔(dān)心成績，還是你會(huì)告訴你的孩子：“哈，不用那么擔(dān)心！”
 
B: No, they will definitely be ... if I have children, they will definitely be concerned about the grades that they're earning, and I will not be easy on them in that regard at all. So, they have a lot coming to them.
 
不，他們肯定會(huì)……如果我有了孩子，他們肯定會(huì)擔(dān)心成績，在這方面，我不會(huì)對(duì)他們太寬容。他們要面對(duì)的還很多。
