為什么厄瓜多爾人很少去加拉帕戈斯群島旅游

A: Felipe, you have been to the Galapagos?
 
費(fèi)利佩，你去過加拉帕戈斯群島嗎？
 
B: No.
 
沒有。
 
A: But you lived in Ecuador right?
 
可是你生活在厄瓜多爾，對(duì)吧？
 
B: Yes, well you know the problem is that going on travel into the Galapagos is really expensive for us.
 
對(duì)，問題是對(duì)我們來(lái)說(shuō)，去加拉帕戈斯群島旅游的花費(fèi)太昂貴了。
 
A: What do you mean for us? Is it expensive for Ecuadoreans?
 
你說(shuō)對(duì)我們來(lái)說(shuō)是什么意思？是說(shuō)對(duì)厄瓜多爾人來(lái)說(shuō)很貴嗎？
 
B: Yeah, for nationals, for people who live in Ecuador it's quite expensive because you know since the Galapagos attracts so many tourists every day, hotels and food and travel expenses are so expensive, so high so you know we cannot travel there because we cannot afford that but tourists, international tourists, can afford.
 
對(duì)，對(duì)生活在厄瓜多爾的人來(lái)說(shuō)非常貴，因?yàn)槊刻於加泻芏嘤慰颓巴永粮晁谷簫u游玩，所以那里的酒店、食物和旅游費(fèi)用非常貴，因?yàn)閮r(jià)格太貴了所以我們不能去那里旅游，因?yàn)槲覀兂袚?dān)不起那筆費(fèi)用，不過許多游客，許多外國(guó)游客可以承擔(dān)得起。
 
A: That's weird. But I had the idea that Galapagos it's part of Ecuador so I think a lot of Ecuadoreans would go there. So really who goes to the Galapagos?
 
這太奇怪了。我以為加拉帕戈斯群島隸屬于厄瓜多爾，所以許多厄瓜多爾人會(huì)去那里玩呢。那一般誰(shuí)會(huì)去加拉帕戈斯群島游玩？
 
B: Well actually there's you know one out of ten Ecuadoreans maybe might have traveled to the Galapagos but it's just such a small amount of people. It's really sad that you know we have these beautiful islands in Ecuador and we can't travel there. So you know there are many, many tourists going there everywhere and they can afford that but we cannot afford and I think, I don't know, maybe the government or the ministry of tourism should I don't know maybe lower the prices so that we can travel there. It's really sad.
 
可能10個(gè)厄瓜多爾人中有1個(gè)去過加拉帕戈斯群島，不過去那里的厄瓜多爾人很少。這太可悲了，我們厄瓜多爾有這么漂亮的群島，可是我們卻不能去那里游玩。有很多負(fù)擔(dān)得起費(fèi)用的游客去那里旅游，可是我們負(fù)擔(dān)不起旅游費(fèi)用，也許政府或旅游局應(yīng)該降低價(jià)格，讓我們也能去那里旅游。這真的太令人傷心了。
 
A: But why do you think it's so expensive to travel there?
 
你為什么認(rèn)為去那里旅游非常貴呢？
 
B: Well because you know as I just mentioned, thousands of tourists go there everywhere and you know the island cannot afford to hold so many tourists every day so let's suppose that if prices are really low then more and more people will go there and there might be environmental problems or just pollution and you know those kind of problems. So people in the Galapagos and the strategy has been to you know to raise prices so that less people can go there and so that the environment is not jeopardized.
 
我剛提到過，每天有數(shù)千名世界各地的游客前往加拉帕戈斯群島旅游，可是群島不能容納這么多游客，所以如果價(jià)格很低，那就會(huì)有更多的游客去那里，那就會(huì)出現(xiàn)環(huán)境問題或污染等問題。所以加拉帕戈斯群島的人們把價(jià)格抬高，這樣去那里的人就會(huì)減少，環(huán)境就不會(huì)被破壞。
 
A: That is true. I guess that makes sense but being from Ecuador and not being able to see your country, it doesn't make so much sense. I wonder how that can be solved?
 
沒錯(cuò)。我認(rèn)為這可以說(shuō)得通，不過厄瓜多爾人不能去欣賞國(guó)內(nèi)的美景，這就說(shuō)不通了。有沒有什么解決方法？
 
B: Well I don't really know but maybe you know we have other options. We can travel to the Amazon region which is maybe the same, as beautiful as Galapagos but you can travel to the highlands. Ecuador is quite a beautiful country. It's not only about the Galapagos. It's also about the different regions, the people, the food, the culture that it has so I don't think that, but maybe I don't know the government should you know do something because you know people in Ecuador they want to travel to the Galapagos but it is really sad that we can't.
 
我也不知道，不過我們還有其他選擇。我們可以去亞馬遜地區(qū)旅行，那里和加拉帕戈斯群島一樣漂亮，還可以去高原旅游。厄瓜多爾是一個(gè)非常美麗的國(guó)家。不是只有加拉帕戈斯群島一個(gè)旅游景點(diǎn)。還有很多不同的地區(qū)，厄瓜多爾人、食物和文化都很有吸引力，也許政府應(yīng)該做些事情，因?yàn)槎蚬隙酄柸讼肴ゼ永粮晁谷簫u旅游，可是我們卻不能去，這太讓人傷心了。
 
A: It is quite sad. Actually I believe Ecuadoreans should have more right than the tourists to go to Galapagos.
 
的確讓人很傷心。我認(rèn)為與游客相比，厄瓜多爾人更有權(quán)力去加拉帕戈斯群島游玩。
 
B: You're right but sadly we don't have so yeah something should be done maybe.

A: Hopefully something will change.

B: Yeah, I hope so also.
