A: How is Chilean Indepdence Day?
 
智利獨立日是怎樣的？
 
B: Well, Chilean Independence Day, it's in September.
 
智利獨立日在9月份。
 
A: Yeah.
 
好。
 
B: September the eighteenth but we have another holiday on the nineteenth so we take those two days plus probably Saturday and Sunday of the same week.
 
9月18日是智利獨立日，9月19日也是節(jié)日，所以我們會休假兩天，有時趕上周末的話可以連休。
 
A: What do you do?
 
你們通常會做什么？
 
B: We have parties for pretty much the whole week and we do some special, kind of special shops and then you can eat empanadas. You know what empanada is?
 
我們一般一整周都會舉辦派對，會去專賣店購物，吃肉餡卷餅。你知道肉餡卷餅嗎？
 
A: I think so. Isn't it made, you know, with flour, you know, wheat flour and it's filled with something like corn or something?
 
我想我知道。是不是用面粉，就是用小麥粉做面團(tuán)，然后里面放上玉米之類的東西？
 
B: Yeah, exactly. Well, you have the pastry and then you can fill it with meat, onion, eggs or you can actually put olives in it and then you put it in the oven. It's really, really nice.
 
對，沒錯。做好面團(tuán)后，在里面放肉、洋蔥、雞蛋等，還可以在里面放橄欖油，然后放進(jìn)烤箱里烤。非常非常好吃。
 
A: And do they sell sweet ones too?
 
是不是也有甜味的？
 
B: Yes, yes. Actually now we have even you can put vegetables in it.
 
對，是的。現(xiàn)在我們還在里面放蔬菜。
 
A: Vegetables?
 
蔬菜？
 
B: Yeah.
 
對。
 
A: Sweet?
 
甜的？
 
B: I mean sweets or vegetables.
 
不是，可以做成甜味的，也可以在里面放蔬菜。
 
A: Or vegetables.
 
也可以放蔬菜。
 
B: Or meat, chicken.
 
或者肉、雞肉之類的。
 
A: OK.
 
好。
 
B: Yes. And it always has to go with a drink that is called chicha.
 
嗯，肉餡卷餅要搭配吉開酒食用。
 
A: What is chicha?
 
吉開酒是什么？
 
B: Chicha is kind of wine.
 
是一種酒。
 
A: Yeah.
 
好。
 
B: It's made out of grapes or apple and it takes awhile to get, to become, you know, alcohol so if you drink it at the beginning it's just juice.
 
是用葡萄和蘋果制成的酒，喝一段時間之后才會感覺像在喝酒，一開始喝的時候就是果汁。
 
A: Juice.

B: Yes.
