假期很多人會(huì)選擇去旅行，你會(huì)帶著孩子去旅行嗎

A: Okay, John. I was curious about a trip you've taken. Have you ever taken a really, really awesome trip?
 
好，約翰。我對(duì)你之前的旅行經(jīng)歷很感興趣。你有沒有非常棒的旅行經(jīng)歷？
 
B: Yeah. I've been on a lot of awesome trips but I didn't know that trips could be so awesome until I went with my kids.
 
有。我有很多很棒的旅行經(jīng)歷，不過在我和孩子們一起去旅行以前，我沒想到會(huì)那么精彩。
 
A: Really? It went well?
 
真的嗎？很順利嗎？
 
B: Oh yeah. It went very well. It's more fun, I think to take kids with on a trip.

A: Where did you go?

B: I went to Thailand.

A: Wow.
 
哇哦。
 
B: My first trip with a kid was with my daughter to Thailand. We did everything. We rode on elephants in Chiang Mai, and we went down south and went to the beach. I wasn't worried about anything because of having kids with us. Yeah. So I wonder what would have been different if I didn't have kids. I probably would have stayed up too late, and I wouldn't have woken up in the morning. In that way, I think kids can help you have a better vacation. You can use your time better because kids are definitely going to wake up early. So you can't waste the morning.

A: You said you rode an elephant.
 
你說你們騎了大象。
 
B: Yes.

A: With your daughter? Didn't you think that was dangerous?
 
和你女兒一起？你不認(rèn)為那很危險(xiǎn)嗎？
 
B: Well, I was nervous about it at first. I thought, maybe it would be too dangerous but we had very good guides to help us. So I asked the elephant trainers, "Do you think it's safe enough for my daughter to ride the elephants?" And the trainers told us, yes, it would be very safe. And the trainers were right there with us together, from the start to the end. So there was never any risk.
 
一開始我很緊張。當(dāng)時(shí)我想那可能太危險(xiǎn)了，不過我們有一個(gè)很好的向?qū)椭覀儭Ｎ覇栺Z象師，“你認(rèn)為我女兒騎大象安全嗎？”馴象師回答說，安全，非常安全。而且從頭到尾，馴象師一直和我們?cè)谝黄?。所以完全沒有危險(xiǎn)。
 
A: Was there anything that you wanted to do but you decided you couldn't do it?
 
有沒有什么事是你想做，但是你認(rèn)為是不能做的事？
 
B: Well, maybe there are some things that younger people would do if they don't have kids like going out to a dance club late at night. But I wasn't too interested in doing that anyway, so I don't consider that I missed it. Besides a dance club late at night, I don't think there's anything else I skipped. Maybe an amusement park. When you have a baby or a toddler, you can't go to an amusement park and go on a rollercoaster. But after the kids are older, you can do that, too.
 
應(yīng)該是那些沒有孩子的年輕人會(huì)做的事情，比如深夜去舞廳跳舞。但是我對(duì)那些活動(dòng)不太感興趣，所以我并不認(rèn)為我錯(cuò)過了機(jī)會(huì)。除了晚上去舞廳跳舞以外，我想不到有什么是我沒做的事情。哦，我沒去游樂園。帶著嬰兒或者說蹣跚學(xué)步的孩子，不能去游樂園，不能坐過山車。不過孩子長大以后，就可以帶孩子去玩了。
 
A: So when you went to Thailand, you had one daughter, do you have more kids now?
 
你和孩子一起去了泰國，你除了有一個(gè)女兒以外，還有孩子嗎？
 
B: Yes. Now, I have a daughter and a son.
 
有。我有一個(gè)女兒，一個(gè)兒子。
 
A: Is it hard to travel with two kids?
 
帶著兩個(gè)孩子旅行會(huì)不會(huì)很難？
 
B: Oh, it's a little harder than traveling with one kid but it's not twice as hard.
 
是比帶一個(gè)孩子旅行難一些，不過并不是說難度翻倍。
 
A: Ah.
 
哦。
 
B: There are two kids now but it's not twice as hard as traveling with one kid. Also, you find that lots of people want to help you. So if you have too many bags, for example, someone will help you carry your bags. Or if you need to feed your kids because babies can't feed themselves, right, well you just have to learn some skills like give one kid some toys while you feed the first child and then switch. So give toys to the other kid and feed the second one. So you learn lots of tricks like that so you can make traveling easier.
 
帶著兩個(gè)孩子旅行，并不是說難度比帶著一個(gè)孩子翻倍了。你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)有很多人都會(huì)提供幫助。舉例來說，如果你帶了很多包，有人會(huì)主動(dòng)幫你拿包。又或者，嬰兒不能自己吃東西，如果你要喂孩子，那你要學(xué)會(huì)一些技巧，在喂一個(gè)孩子吃飯的時(shí)候，給另一個(gè)孩子一些玩具玩，然后再交換過來。也就是，給第二個(gè)孩子喂飯，把玩具給另一個(gè)孩子。你要學(xué)習(xí)很多這樣的技巧，這樣你的旅行就會(huì)輕松很多。

B: Oh yeah. I want to go on more trips with my kids. I can't wait for our next vacation.
