今天是五月十三號(hào)，五月的第二個(gè)星期天，是每個(gè)母親特別重要的日子，母親節(jié)。

媽媽是我們最親近的家人，

你的家里還有哪些其他成員呢？

應(yīng)該如何介紹呢？

來聽今天的講解：

Todd: So , you mentioned your family, do you have a big family?

正好提到你的家庭，你是有一個(gè)規(guī)模很大的家庭嗎？

Shuan: No, I have a fairly small family, actually, I've only got, including me, only four people in my family.

不,事實(shí)上是一個(gè)小家庭。包括我在內(nèi)四口人。

Todd: So it's your mother, your father, you...

你的媽媽、爸爸和……

Shuan: And my sister.

我的妹妹。

Todd: Well, tell me about your father. What's your father like?

和我說說你的父親吧，他是怎樣的一個(gè)人呢？

Shuan: My father is pretty much the most interesting person I think I know. He tells all kinds of stories about his childhood, and his growing up.

他是我認(rèn)識(shí)的最有趣的一個(gè)人，他經(jīng)常會(huì)講述他童年各種各樣的故事和他的成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷。

Todd: OK, nice, and what does your father do?

他是做什么職業(yè)的？

Shuan: Ah, he was a pilot until five years ago, five years ago, he was kind of getting old and he wasn't allowed to fly anymore.

五年前他是一個(gè)飛行員，后來他年級(jí)越來越大不能再飛行了。

Todd: OK, what about your mother? Does she work?

那你的媽媽呢？她工作嗎？

Shuan: My mother, she doesn't. She used to work. In fact my mother and my father met at work. They both worked for Cathay Pacific, which is an airline based in Hong Kong. My mother was a stewardess and my father was a pilot.

目前她不工作。她過去工作。我的爸爸和媽媽在工作中相識(shí)，他們都為國泰航空工作，是一家香港的航空公司。我媽媽以前是一個(gè)空姐、我父親是飛行員。

Todd: Oh, what a story. OK and what about your sister? You said that she's a student.

這個(gè)故事不錯(cuò)！那你的姐姐/妹妹呢？你說她是一個(gè)學(xué)生。

Shuan: She's a student. She's actually in her first year. I haven't spoken to her lately so I don't know how she's doing.

是的，她是一年紀(jì)的學(xué)生。我已經(jīng)一年多沒和她聊天了所以我也不知道她近況如何。

Todd: So you and your sister, are you similar or quite different?

那你和她是很相似還是不同呢？

Shuan: Oh, we are definely quite different.

我們非常不一樣！

Todd: How so?

怎么不同呢？

Shuan: I was the rebelious type. I pretty much laid the foundation for my sister to get all the freedoms that she has, and she doesn't appreciate any of the things I've done so,.. another way that we're different is that she's really into arts and drawing and painting and making music whereas I'm more into the technical side of things, like I'm into computer, fixing cars.

我曾經(jīng)非常的叛逆。我?guī)椭玫搅怂械淖杂?，但是她并不感激。她非常喜歡藝術(shù)、畫畫和音樂，我非常喜歡科技類的，比如電腦和修車。
