　　復(fù)合詞和短語的重讀

　　課文中的short stop為復(fù)合短語，構(gòu)成該短語的兩個詞short和stop都重讀。但在英語中，有些復(fù)合詞和短語是由相同的單詞組成，但重音位置不同，詞義也不同，一般可以通過重青來判斷詞義。一鍛來說，這些復(fù)合詞都是名詞，重音在前;而與其拼寫相同的短語一般是名詞短語，其中的兩個單詞都要重讀。如：
