[01:05.02]Assuming that you have all obtained employment and are fairly started, [01:10.38]my advice to you is “aim high.” [01:13.66]I would not give a fig for the young man who does not already see himself the partner [01:19.14]or the head of an important firm. [01:52.06]Having begun in one line, resolve to fight it out on that line, to lead in it, [01:58.41]adopt every improvement,have the best machinery, and know the most about it. [02:04.21]The concerns which fail are those which have scattered their capital, [02:09.13]which means that they have scattered their brains also. [02:12.74]They have investments in this, or that, or the other,here, there, and everywhere. [02:18.54]“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” is all wrong. [02:22.81]I tell you “put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket.” [02:28.72]It is easy to watch and carry the one basket.
