《大唐榮耀》為何火了？

When The Glory of Tang Dynasty (《大唐榮耀》) first came out in January, viewers had expected the series to fail because there had been so many shows full of historical inaccuracies and poor storytelling in recent years.

《大唐榮耀》在今年1月首播時(shí)，觀眾們都認(rèn)為這是部爛劇，因?yàn)榻陙?lái)，與歷史不符、故事線又粗糙的電視劇實(shí)在太多了。

But it turned out to be a surprisingly popular hit. It’s had more than four billion views on Tencent.

然而這部電視劇卻出人意料地成為了一部熱播劇，在騰訊上的播放量已經(jīng)超過(guò)40億。

“TV series made for young people aren’t necessarily far from mainstream values,” said Jiang Lei, vice-president of H&R Century Pictures, which created the series. “We aim to bring out the essence (精髓) of traditional Chinese culture and use modern expressions and methods to attract young people.”

“為年輕人打造的電視劇并不一定要和主流價(jià)值觀相去甚遠(yuǎn)，”出品該電視劇的歡瑞世紀(jì)副總裁姜磊說(shuō)道。“我們力圖呈現(xiàn)出中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化的精髓，用現(xiàn)代的表現(xiàn)形式來(lái)吸引年輕人。”

The Glory of Tang Dynasty, which focuses on the love story of Li Chu, an emperor, and ShenZhenzhu, a woman of high birth, is set on the historical background of the An Shi Rebellion (安史之亂，755-763). The rebellion pulled the empire (帝國(guó)) down from its normal peaceful life.

《大唐榮耀》主要講述了唐朝皇帝李俶和貴族之女沈珍珠的愛(ài)情故事。故事發(fā)生在安史之亂(755-763)的歷史背景之下，而這場(chǎng)動(dòng)亂也令大唐帝國(guó)由盛轉(zhuǎn)衰。

“Though historical TV series have dominated (主導(dǎo)) our screens, it’s surprising that no big stories had ever focused on the An Shi Rebellion, a key event in Chinese history,” said Liu Yeyuan, a media professor at the Communication University of China. “Until now, young people’s understanding of the time was largely rooted in Tang poems. The new series offers them a chance to revisit history.”

“盡管歷史劇已經(jīng)開(kāi)啟了霸屏模式，但卻沒(méi)有一部大作關(guān)注安史之亂這一中國(guó)歷史上的重要事件，這一點(diǎn)令人意外，”中國(guó)傳媒大學(xué)影視藝術(shù)學(xué)院教授劉曄原說(shuō)道。“時(shí)至今日，年輕人對(duì)于時(shí)代的認(rèn)知大多數(shù)根植于唐詩(shī)。而這部新劇給了他們一個(gè)回顧歷史的機(jī)會(huì)。”

Liu Yeyuan also said that the exchanges between China and other countries along the ancient Silk Road still create an emotional resonance (情感共鳴) today.

劉曄原也表示，中國(guó)和絲綢之路沿線各國(guó)的來(lái)往現(xiàn)在仍在創(chuàng)造一種情感共鳴。
