(Nancy and Dave meet in a small pub.)

Nancy: Excuse me. Sorry I’ve been looking at you for the last few minutes, but don’t I know you from somewhere?
戴夫：不，不，我沒有印象。
Dave: No, no, I don’t think so.

Nancy: Really? Are you sure? This is driving me crazy because I never forget a face. Wait a minute, did you grow up in Chicago?
戴夫：是啊，確實(shí)是。
Dave: Yes, I did, as a matter of fact.
南希：我想我們可能上的是同一所中學(xué)。也許你在中區(qū)中學(xué)讀過書？
Nancy: I think maybe we went to the same high school. Did you, by any chance, go to Central High?
戴夫：太對(duì)了。
Dave: Yes!

Nancy: Do you remember me? I’m Nancy, Nancy Reid. I used to sit behind you in our math class.
戴夫：我是戴夫•米歇爾。哎呀！畢業(yè)這么多年了，你竟然還能認(rèn)出我來，真不可思議。
Dave: I’m Dave Mitchell. Wow! I can’t believe you recognized me after all these years!
南希：是啊，這世界可真小啊。
Nancy: Yeah, this is really a small world.
