Joining a Club
A：你好，鮑勃。在這兒碰見你可真幸運(yùn)??！
A: Hi, Bob. What luck running into you here!
B：碰見你也是。你在這兒干什么呢？
B: Me, too. What are you doing here?
A：哦?？纯催@些社團(tuán)的布告，我想加入一個(gè)社團(tuán)。嗨，我們?yōu)楹尾灰粔K加入一個(gè)社團(tuán)呢？吉他協(xié)會(huì)怎么樣？
A: Oh. Just looking at these club notices. I’m thinking of joining one. Hey, why don’t we join a club together? How about the Guitar Club?
B：事實(shí)上，我對(duì)吉他可是一竅不通。
B: Actually, I’m not into guitar at all.
A：我也不懂。但難道你不認(rèn)為在校園內(nèi)帶個(gè)吉他很酷嗎？那將能吸引較多漂亮女孩的注意。
A: Neither am I. but don’t you think it is cool to carry a guitar on the campus. It will definitely attract the attention of many pretty girls.
B：哦，別那樣。對(duì)你不喜歡的事你沒理由去做。
B: Oh, come on. That’s no reason to do something you’re not interested in.
A：哦，那么你的愛好是什么？
A: Well… what are you interested in?
B：詩社怎么樣？
B: How about the Poetry Club?
A：鮑勃，饒了我吧！這個(gè)社團(tuán)真老土。你見過那個(gè)社團(tuán)的人了嗎？你可以說他們簡直就是一群書呆子。
A: Bob, give me a break! It’s for hicks. Have you seen the guys in that club? You can tell them right book-worms.
B：也不完全對(duì)吧。那社團(tuán)的一位朋友告訴我他們社團(tuán)總是辦聚會(huì)。但對(duì)詩我不懂什么。
B: That’s not completely true. I get a friend in the club who told me that they party all the time. But I know nothing about poetry.
A：那電影協(xié)會(huì)怎么樣呢？它是我們的大社團(tuán)之一。
A: Hey, how about the Cinema Club?
B：聽起來不錯(cuò)。我喜歡電影。
B: Sounds OK to me. I like movies.
A：我們?nèi)グ伞?br /> A: Let’s go.

(At the meeting)
A：嗨，鮑勃。我想我們的選擇很正確?？?，這里有如此多的漂亮女孩。我不知道在這兒是否可以遇上一個(gè)我所喜歡類型的美女。
A: Hey, Bob. I think we made the right choice. Look, there are quite a few good-looking girls here. I wonder if I’ll meet my babe.
B：哇，太酷了，我迫不及待地想加入了。
B: Wow, it’s cool. I can’t wait to enter my name.
