 大學(xué)生自主創(chuàng)業(yè)的利弊

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the advantages and disadvantages of college student self- employment based on the picture below. You can cite examples to illustrate your point. You should write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.

As is revealed in the picture, self-employment is like a magnet, attracting a large number of newly graduated college students. 1 Considering the bleak employment situation and the government’s encouragement policies towards college students, it is no surprise that so many graduates choose self-employment instead of finding a job. 2

Self-employment can bring many benefits to the society as well as to the students themselves. 3 For the society, college students starting their own business can ease the pressure of employment. For the students, not only can they put what they learn at school into practice, but also have an opportunity to improve their innovation abilities by combining their theoretical knowledge with social practice. However, college student self-employment also has some disadvantages. 4 For one thing, due to the limitations of college students themselves, such as lack of experience, connections and well-considered plans, etc., it is not easy for them to be successful, thus causing waste of social resources. For another, once they fail in self-employment, they can easily feel depressed and have a breakdown.

In my opinion 5 , as long as the students realize the difficulties and make full preparation, it is worth trying to start their own business. After all, where there is a will, there is a way. 6

創(chuàng)業(yè)可以為社會(huì)和大學(xué)生個(gè)人帶來(lái)不少好處。對(duì)于社會(huì)而言,大學(xué)生自主創(chuàng)業(yè)能夠緩解社會(huì)就業(yè)壓力。對(duì)于大學(xué)生個(gè)人而言,他們不僅可以把在學(xué)校學(xué)到的知識(shí)應(yīng)用于實(shí)踐,而且有機(jī)會(huì)通過(guò)將理論知識(shí)和社會(huì)實(shí)踐結(jié)合起來(lái)提高自己的創(chuàng)新能力。然而,大學(xué)生創(chuàng)業(yè)也會(huì)有一些缺點(diǎn)。一方面,由于大學(xué)生自身的局限性,如缺乏經(jīng)驗(yàn)、人脈和考慮周詳?shù)挠?jì)劃,他們很難取得成功,從而可能造成社會(huì)資源的浪費(fèi)。另一方面,一旦他們創(chuàng)業(yè)失敗,他們很容易心情沮喪,甚至精神崩潰。
