馬洛（Christopher Marlowe，1564-1593），文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期英國戲劇家兼詩人，他改革了中世紀(jì)戲劇形式，繼承了文藝復(fù)興早期戲劇的優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)，創(chuàng)作了《帖木兒大帝》等一系列優(yōu)秀悲劇作品，創(chuàng)造出文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期的巨人形象，體現(xiàn)了人文主義精神和浪漫主義風(fēng)格。馬洛也寫過一些詩歌作品，它們大多清新、歡快、明朗。較為人們熟悉的就是這首《熱情的牧童對(duì)愛人說》，它以牧歌的形式描寫詩人向姑娘表達(dá)愛慕之心，語言樸素洗練，感情強(qiáng)烈大膽，與當(dāng)時(shí)許多情詩中的凄婉哀怨情調(diào)完全不同。

來跟我同住，做我的愛侶，

Come live with me and be my Love,

峻峭的峰巒、林野和谷峪

That hills and valleys, dale and field,

And see the shepherds feed their flocks,

A cap of flowers, and a kirtle
