《增廣賢文》。又名《昔時(shí)賢文》《古今賢文》，是中國(guó)明代時(shí)期編寫的道家兒童啟蒙書目。書名最早見之于明萬(wàn)歷年間的戲曲《牡丹亭》，據(jù)此可推知此書最遲寫成于萬(wàn)歷年間。《增廣賢文》集結(jié)中國(guó)從古到今的各種格言、諺語(yǔ)。后來(lái)，經(jīng)過明、清兩代文人的不斷增補(bǔ)，才改成現(xiàn)在這個(gè)模樣，稱《增廣昔時(shí)賢文》，通稱《增廣賢文》。

佳人傅粉，
誰(shuí)識(shí)白刃當(dāng)前；
螳螂捕蟬，
豈知黃雀在后。
天欲禍人，
必先以微福驕之，
所以福來(lái)不必喜，
要看會(huì)受；
天欲福人，
必先以微禍儆之，
所以禍來(lái)不必憂，
要看會(huì)救。

An oriole aiming at it from behind,
A man favoured by a beauty
Does not know there is a killing plan
Screened by the charming lady.
Heaven gives you a small piece of luck
To embolden you
Before giving you a serious disaster;
Do not necessarily be happy when luck comes,
The important thing is how you enjoy it.
