In the Forest

Out of the mid-wood's twilight

Into the meadow's dawn,

Ivory-limbed and brown-eyed

Flashes my Faun!



He skips through the copses singing,

And his shadow dances along,

And I know not which I should follow,

Shadow or song!



O Hunter, snare me his shadow!

O Nightingale, catch me his strain!

Else moonstruck with music and madness

I track him in vain.

林　中

出自密林深處的曙光，

進(jìn)入牧場(chǎng)的黎明，

象牙的身軀，棕色的眼睛，

閃出了我的牧神！



他歌唱著蹦過(guò)灌木叢，

影子也翩然起舞，

我不知該追隨哪一個(gè)，

影子還是歌聲！



哦，獵人，幫我套住影子，

哦，夜鶯，幫我攫住歌聲！

否則，被音樂(lè)和瘋狂糾纏的我

徒然在把他追蹤。
