The Fool by the Roadside	路邊的傻子
When all works that have	當所有從搖籃
From cradle run to grave	跑進墳墓的東西
From grave to cradle run instead;	又從墳墓跑回搖籃；
When thoughts that a fool	當一個傻子
Has wound upon a spool	纏在軸上的心思
Are but loose thread, are but loose thread;	不過是松散的絲線，松散的絲線。
When cradle and spool are past	當搖籃與線軸都成往事，
And I mere shade at last	而我，
Coagulate of stuff	也化作一個影子，
Transparent like the wind,	風一樣透明，
I think that I may find	那時，我想，我就可以找到
