知道“DIY”不稀奇 你知道“BIY”嗎？

　　DIY”一詞從N多年前開始就為人們所熟知，全稱是“do it yourself”，也就是自己動(dòng)手做的意思，所謂自給自足，樂趣不窮啊。如今，有個(gè)新詞叫“BIY”，雖然長得像是“DIY”的哥們兒，但大家知道是什么意思嗎?

　　BIY：buy-it-yourself

　　大家可能會(huì)說“當(dāng)然自己買啦整天讓別人付賬這還像話么!”其實(shí)，BIY的意思并不是完全如大家所想的那么籠統(tǒng)，我們先來看一下它的英文意思和具體解釋吧：

　　BIY：Purchasing the materials required for a repair or renovation that one has hired a tradesperson or other professional to perform。

　　China's new middle class tend to buy their new apartments as shells, and then kit them out themselves. It is less DIY, however, than BIY: Buy-it-Yourself. New homes need fitting out from floor to ceiling, a job that only professionals can do。

　　從上面的內(nèi)容中，我們可以知道，“BIY”所謂的“buy-it-yourself”是專門指裝修(decorate)房屋時(shí)用的。這個(gè)新詞看來就是來自于中國呢，就比如現(xiàn)在的一些80后的年輕人，比較傾向于自己購買裝潢材料，自己動(dòng)手裝修房屋一樣。
