我國(guó)公路總里程已達(dá)528萬(wàn)公里

The total length of China's highway network has reached 5.28 million km, an official said on Tuesday. Zhou Rongfeng, an official with the Ministry of Transport, underscored the importance of strengthening highway maintenance and management, as the highway is among the most widely used means of transportation, with the most extensive coverage and the highest number of passengers. China has set up a national highway network that consists of expressways, trunk roads, and rural roads.

交通運(yùn)輸部公路局副局長(zhǎng)周榮峰在4月26日舉行的新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上宣布，目前我國(guó)公路總里程已達(dá)528萬(wàn)公里，形成了以高速公路為骨架、普通干線為脈絡(luò)、農(nóng)村公路為基礎(chǔ)的全國(guó)公路網(wǎng)。周榮峰表示，公路交通是覆蓋范圍最廣、服務(wù)人口最多、使用最廣泛的交通運(yùn)輸方式，維護(hù)好這些規(guī)模龐大的公路資產(chǎn)，加強(qiáng)公路養(yǎng)護(hù)管理工作意義重大。

A total of 1.29 trillion yuan has been channeled into highway maintenance and addressing highway safety hazards in recent years, according to the ministry.
