美眾議員拒戴口罩被罰款

Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has been fined $48,000 for not wearing a mask on the House floor. The House Ethics Committee publicly disclosed on Monday that Greene has been fined 20 times for not wearing a mask.

美國眾議院道德委員會11月1日發(fā)布通知稱，美國佐治亞州共和黨籍眾議員瑪喬麗•泰勒•格林因?qū)掖尉芙^在眾議院佩戴口罩，被罰款20次，累計被罰款4.8萬美元。

After receiving an initial warning in May, Greene was fined $500 for her first offense, and $2,500 for each subsequent offense, which is in line with House rules. The fines come from Greene's salary.

今年5月格林首次因未佩戴口罩收到警告。按照眾議院的規(guī)定，第一次的違規(guī)罰款為500美元，之后每次違規(guī)都會被罰款2500美元，罰款將直接從眾議員的工資中扣除。

Mask mandates were first adopted in the House in July 2020 following Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert's positive COVID-19 test.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that masks will be required for members and staff on the floor of the House until they were all fully vaccinated.
