北京冬奧會圣火采集成功

The Olympic Flame that will be burning for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games started its journey after being ignited at the birthplace of the Games in Ancient Olympia, Greece on Monday.

10月18日，北京冬奧會火種在奧林匹克運(yùn)動發(fā)祥地——希臘的古奧林匹亞采集成功，開始傳遞。

Greek actress Xanthi Georgiou in the role of an ancient Greek high priestess used a concave mirror to focus the sun's rays and light the torch before the 2,500-year-old Temple of Hera, a goddess in ancient Greek mythology.

在有著兩千五百年歷史的赫拉神廟遺址前，扮演最高女祭司的希臘女演員喬治烏利用凹面鏡聚集太陽光，點燃了火種。赫拉是古希臘神話中的一位女神。

"In our fragile world, where separation, division and mistrust are on the rise, the Olympic Games always builds bridges and friendship," International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach said in his speech.

國際奧委會主席托馬斯·巴赫在現(xiàn)場致辭中說："在這個脆弱的世界中，分離、隔閡、不信任在加劇，而奧運(yùn)會總能建立橋梁和友誼。"

Ioannis Antoniou, a Greek skier, was the first torchbearer to receive the flame from the High Priestess inside the ancient stadium.

女祭司將燃起的火炬?zhèn)鬟f給了第一棒火炬手、希臘高山滑雪運(yùn)動員揚(yáng)尼斯·安東尼烏。

The first Chinese torch bearer to receive the flame was Li Jiajun, a winner of five medals in short-track speed skating at the 1998, 2002 and 2006 Olympics.

從安東尼烏手中接過火炬的首位中國火炬手是前中國短道速滑運(yùn)動員李佳軍，他曾在1998年、2002年以及2006年冬奧會中摘得短道速滑項目的五枚獎牌。

The flame will be handed over to the Beijing 2022 organizers on Tuesday at the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens before it arrives in China on Wednesday.

10月19日，奧運(yùn)火種將在雅典的帕納辛奈科體育場轉(zhuǎn)交給北京冬奧組委的代表團(tuán)，并將于10月20日到達(dá)中國。
