清乾隆花瓶將于秋季在香港拍賣

A porcelain masterpiece from Chinese Emperor Qianlong's imperial collection will go under the hammer in Hong Kong for a fall sale, the auction house So the by's announced.

蘇富比拍賣行近日宣布，乾隆皇帝御藏的一件瓷器珍品將于秋季在香港拍賣。

The 16-inch antique is said to be the matching piece to another Chinese vase, which was sold for an astonishing 43 million pounds at the Bainbridge auction house in 2010.

據(jù)稱，這一高16英寸的古董和另一個(gè)中國花瓶本是一對。2010年，后者在英國班布里奇拍賣行被以4300萬英鎊的天價(jià)售出。

The two vases reportedly feature almost the same openwork design, with only a slight difference in the fish patterns carved and painted on them.

Said to be once displayed at an exhibition in New York in 1905, the rare piece was purchased by a Japanese collector in 1924, and remained in a private collection for almost a century.
