美國監(jiān)管機構阻止中企收購美企Xcerra

US regulators have blocked the $580m acquisition of a semiconductor test equipment maker by a state-backed Chinese fund in the latest deal to be halted amid heightened scrutiny of Chinese investments under Donald Trump.

美國監(jiān)管機構阻止了一家由中國政府支持的基金以5.8億美元收購美國一家半導體測試設備商的交易。這是唐納德•特朗普(Donald Trump)主政后加強對中國投資審查力度導致的最新一起被否決交易。

Massachusetts-based Xcerra said on Thursday that it had agreed with Hubei Xinyan Equity Investment Partnership to terminate the merger agreement.

總部位于馬薩諸塞州的Xcerra周四表示，它已與湖北鑫炎股權投資合伙企業(yè)(Hubei Xinyan Equity Investment Partnership)達成一致，將終止之前的合并協(xié)議。

“Despite our best efforts to secure approval, it has become evident that CFIUS will not clear this transaction and we and Xinyan have mutually decided to terminate our merger agreement,” said Xcerra chief executive Dave Tacelli.

The US has a longstanding sensitivity about Chinese investments in the country’s semiconductor sector. Cfius last September blocked the $1.3bn acquisition of Lattice Semiconductor by a group of investors that included state-controlled China Venture Capital Fund on national security grounds.

A growing number of Chinese investments targeting US companies have stalled owing to a slowdown in Washington’s national security review process and as trade tensions bubble between Beijing and the Trump administration.

Xcerra said in April 2017 it had agreed to be acquired for approximately $580m by Unic Capital Management, a subsidiary of state-backed Sino IC Capital and Hubei Xinyan.

Xcerra在2017年4月表示，它已同意中青芯鑫(Unic Capital Management)和湖北鑫炎以約5.8億美元的價格收購自己。中青芯鑫是中國政府支持的華芯投資(Sino IC Capital)的子公司。
