谷歌新移動支付刷臉即可 手機都不用掏

　　Google is rolling out its "Hands Free" paymentsfeature in select restaurants in California's Bay Areawhich will let people who have the app strut into aneatery, order, and check out simply by saying "I'llpay with Google."

　　近日，谷歌公司正在加州灣區(qū)選定的幾家餐館推出了其Hands Free支付功能，該功能可以讓安裝了此支付應(yīng)用的消費者昂首闊步地走進一家餐館，點餐，只需說一句"我要用谷歌來支付"即可結(jié)賬。

　　Cashiers then ask for your initials and double-checkthat the picture uploaded to the Hands Free appactually looks like you. In some stores, the company is also testing just letting you use yourface for verification, through an in-store camera that would snap a quick photo.

　　接下來收銀員會詢問消費者的姓名首字母，并進行復(fù)查核對，確認(rèn)上傳至Hands Free應(yīng)用中的圖片的確是消費者本人。在一些商店，谷歌公司還進行了一些測試，只需消費者通過店內(nèi)的攝像頭刷臉即可進行認(rèn)證，這些攝像頭可以進行快速拍照。

　　Hands Free uses Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and location data, and this isn't the first time we've heardabout it: Google previewed the concept way back in May 2015, though this is the first time it'sloose in the wild on a larger scale.

　　Google isn't the first one to try going down this path, either. Square tried hands free paymentsway back in 2011, but ended up shutting down the app that offered it. PayPal has a hands-freeoption too.

　　另外，谷歌也并非第一家嘗試這種支付功能的公司。事實上，Square早在2011年就開始嘗試這樣的無勿手動的支付方式，但最終又停止了類似功能的應(yīng)用。此外，PayPal也曾嘗試過類似的支付功能。

　　Google's had a long, complicated history with payments. It launched a near-fieldcommunications payments product called Google Wallet back in 2011, but ended up replacingthat system with Android Pay late last year, and pivoting Wallet to a peer-to-peer moneysending app (like Venmo).

　　在開發(fā)支付功能方面，谷歌有著較長的復(fù)雜歷史。2011年，谷歌曾推出名為“谷歌錢包”的近場通訊支付產(chǎn)品，但最終又在去年底，谷歌用Android Pay取代了谷歌錢包系統(tǒng)，并將谷歌錢包轉(zhuǎn)化為一個類似于Venmo的端對端的轉(zhuǎn)賬應(yīng)用。

　　Even though technically Google was early on payments, its missteps, clunky roll-out, and laterelaunch position it, at least recognition-wise, a few steps behind Apple, which has a tap-n-gopayments system called Apple Pay.

　　盡管從技術(shù)上來講，谷歌在支付領(lǐng)域仍進展較慢。谷歌最初是急促地推出這項產(chǎn)品，之后又重新推出這一產(chǎn)品，這種進展至少要比蘋果慢一些。相比較而言，蘋果則及時地推出了自己支付系統(tǒng)，名為“Apple Pay”。

　　Although Hands Free doesn't require that users have Android Pay — the app works for iOS, too— Google's likely hoping that this seamless experience will help the service take off and spreadto more retailers.
