報(bào)告顯示:高學(xué)歷女性在中國(guó)最容易單身

　　Men with lower educational qualifications and womenwith higher ones are more prone to being single inChina, researchers have shown. Women with adoctoral degree are often joked about as people of"the third gender" in China.

　　近日，有相關(guān)研究人員發(fā)現(xiàn)，低學(xué)歷男人和高學(xué)歷女人在中國(guó)最容易單身。擁有博士學(xué)歷的女性在中國(guó)經(jīng)常被嘲諷是“第三性別人群”。

　　One female student said she planned to pursue adoctoral degree but her family was stronglyopposed to the idea, worrying that a highereducation might be an obstacle to her future family life, while her boyfriend feared he wouldbe dumped, China Youth Daily reported.

　　根據(jù)中國(guó)青年報(bào)報(bào)道，一位女學(xué)生計(jì)劃攻讀博士，但卻遭到了家人的強(qiáng)烈反對(duì)。家人擔(dān)心更高層次的教育可能會(huì)對(duì)她將來(lái)的家庭生活不利，而她男朋友也擔(dān)心會(huì)被她甩了。

　　Several other media reports have exposed the pressures faced by well-educated women inseeking a relationship as they were assumed to be lacking in femininity and attractiveness.

　　其他幾家媒體也報(bào)道了高學(xué)歷女性在戀愛(ài)方面遭遇很大的壓力。因?yàn)樗齻兘?jīng)常會(huì)被誤認(rèn)為缺乏女性氣質(zhì)和魅力。

　　Chen Jinkuan, a teacher of social psychology at Zhengzhou University in Henan Province, saidstudies show women with a higher education find it as difficult as men with lower educations tofind a partner.

　　河南省鄭州大學(xué)社會(huì)心理學(xué)教師陳佳寬表示，調(diào)查結(jié)果顯示，高學(xué)歷女性和低學(xué)歷男性一樣不好找對(duì)象。

　　Surveys also show men are generally willing to get married to women who have a similareducation level and are daunted by women with better educational and work qualifications andknowledge.

　　調(diào)查還發(fā)現(xiàn)，男性更愿意和自己教育層次差不多的女性結(jié)婚，而對(duì)于學(xué)歷、工作能力都比自己優(yōu)秀的女性，他們大多會(huì)敬而遠(yuǎn)之。

　　The report called for gender equality and more support and respect for women in seekinghigher education.
