　　To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year's Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. 　　"Guo Nian," meaning "passing the year," is the common term among the Chinese people for celebrating the Spring Festival. It actually means greeting the New Year. At midnight at the turn of the old and New Year, people used to let off fire-crackers which serve to drive away the evil spirits and to greet the arrival of the New Year. In an instant the whole city would be engulfed in the deafening noise of the firecrackers.

　　學習好英語，是件很難的事，可是掌握好方法，學習英語也就不會那么難，你也不用對英語記單詞，背課文發(fā)愁了。
　　每個同學都會認為背單詞很困難，是這樣嗎，背單詞就沒有好方法嗎?有的。不說詞根記憶與聯(lián)想記憶，最簡單又最實用的方法是準備一個小本子，將要背的單詞抄寫在上面，放進口袋里，隨時隨地只要有空閑的時間，就把小本子拿出來，
　　記一記，背一背，這樣背單詞的效率也就大幅度增加，背單詞也就變得很輕松。
　　背課文也是這樣的，只要掌握學習方法，就特別地輕松。每天早上起床或晚上睡前，都至少聽十五分鐘的錄音磁帶，反復地聽，既會加深你對課文的印象，又會掌握其中的知識點，對語法方面更加嫻熟。日積月累，記住的知識點也就更多，就不會忘記了。
　　學習的方法有很多種，最重要的就是復習，學到的知識，若不進行復習鞏固的話，也就等于什么也沒學。英語更是這樣，不斷地，重復對知識點加深印象，還要學以致用，對于這個知識點的句型及用法也都能運用，那才叫學會英語，最好也將學到的知識點同樣記錄在記單詞的本子上，空閑背單詞時，也能記記英語句型，那樣不是一舉兩得嗎?這樣日積月累，英語成績就會提高，這時你會認為，對啊，英語也不是什么很難學的嘛。
