Stretching from Noosa Heads south to Coolum, Noosa National Park is one of top natural treasures of Australia. In fact, it welcomes over 1 million visitors every year. In addition to its natural beauty and diverse wildlife, two of the park's best features are its easy accessibility and clean toilets.

You can walk up the hill to the watershed area from Noosa main beach and Hastings Street where 15 km of winding trails await you. There is a large parking area at the entrance to the park but it's crowded, even in winter during low season. Before you enter the park, stop at the information center near the entrance to inquire about recent animal sightings and pick a free map.

If you're tired of the beach or just want a cool photo, then go to the Fairy Pools. Here you can swim in a rock pool with crystal clear water and ocean views. You will have to walk about 3 minutes to get there and it will be worth it.

The easiest way to get to the Fairy Pools is to park your car in the Noosa National Park parking lot and walk along the coast past Tea Tree Bay and Granit Bay. On the far side of the Gulf of Granite, you will find a bench and a small dirt path leading down to the rocks.
