One of the 4 most beautiful caves in Laos visited by many tourists is Pak Ou Cave. This is a limestone cave located in the three rivers of Nam Ou and Mekong River. This cave has many mysteries as it displays more than 4,000 Buddha sculptures of all sizes and shapes. It is said that these statues were carefully hidden by the monk in Pak Ou cave from the early 18th and 19th centuries when the ancient capital of Luang Prabang was occupied by foreign invaders. That is why Pak Ou cave has become a spiritual destination not only for Buddhists but also for tourists around the world when traveling to Laos.

To explore Tham Nam cave, visitors are required to rent a buoy, a flashlight, a life jacket plus a waterproof bag to hold valuable items that they carry. And to visit Tham Nam cave, visitors will sit on the buoy they rent and use their hands to pull the rope that has been attached to the cave wall.

位于老撾萬(wàn)根鎮(zhèn)以北6公里處的Tham Nam cave是夏季游客最理想的旅游目的地。要想探索Tham Nam cave，游客需要租一個(gè)浮標(biāo)、一個(gè)手電筒、一件救生衣和一個(gè)用來(lái)裝貴重物品的防水袋。參觀Tham Nam洞穴時(shí)，游客們會(huì)坐在自己租來(lái)的浮標(biāo)上，用手拉著固定在巖壁上的繩子。

The beauty of Vieng Xai lies the immense green hills and pierced limestone cliffs. The cave is quite large and possesses many mysterious scenes: war activities, cooking places, buildings, hospitals, shops, military barracks… It can hold up to 23 thousand people.
