Here we are at the end of another calendar year -- 2014. When December rolls around, we tend to reflect on who we've lost in our own personal lives as well as those bigger-than-life mortals we affectionately call: celebrities.

歲末降至，追憶2014，我們失去了太多名人。

In tribute, we thought we would pick out a quote from each one that might elicit a laugh, a tear, a fond memory and/or a reason to never forget why their lives and legacies touched our hearts.

Shirley Temple (85)-- The most famous child actress of all time ("Curley Top"); U.S. Ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia -- Passed away on Feb. 10, 2014

永遠(yuǎn)的童星秀蘭·鄧波兒(Shirley Temple)，美國(guó)駐加納(Ghana)和捷克斯洛伐克(Czechoslovakia)大使。2014年2月10日去世，享年85歲。

著名喜劇演員羅賓·威廉姆斯(Robin Williams)，主演《默克與明迪》(Mork and Mindy)、《窈窕奶爸》(Mrs. Doubtfire)。2014年8月11日離世，享年63歲。

Joan Rivers (80)-- Comedienne, actress, television host ("Fashion Police); producer, writer -- Passed away on Sept. 4, 2014

瓊·里弗斯(Joan Rivers)，喜劇演員，“時(shí)尚警察”(Fashion Police)節(jié)目主持人，制作人，作家。2014年9月4日逝世，享年80歲。

James Garner (86)-- Film and television actor ("Maverick," "The Rockford Files") -- Passed away on July 19, 2014

電影和電視劇演員詹姆斯·加納(James Garner)，曾主演《賭俠馬華力》(Maverick)、《羅克福德檔案》(The Rockford Files)等影片。2014年7月19日，去世于其結(jié)婚58周年紀(jì)念日的前一個(gè)月，享年86歲。
