墨西哥時間4月17日，哥倫比亞著名作家、1982年諾貝爾文學獎得主加西亞·馬爾克斯在墨西哥首都墨西哥城因病去世，享年87歲。他是拉丁美洲魔幻現(xiàn)實主義文學的代表人物，也是20世紀最有影響力的作家之一，他將現(xiàn)實主義與幻想結(jié)合起來，創(chuàng)造了舉世聞名的《百年孤獨》。正如我國著名作家莫言所說：“感謝這個天才的頭腦，他(馬爾克斯)發(fā)明了一種獨特的小說，他也發(fā)明了讓自己永生的方式。”
